Guidance Software Hires New Marketing VP
Pasadena-based Guidance Software, a developer of digital forensics software, said Friday that it has hired on Grant Johnson as the firm's new Vice President of Marketing. Johnson joins the firm from FileNet, where he also served as VP of marketing. Johnson has also served at Frontbridge and Symantec. Solekai Systems Sells Unit
San Diego-based Solekai Systems Corporation, and engineering services firm focused on the digital video area, said yesterday that it has sold its operations in Boulder, Colorado, to enableTV. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Solekai Systems, which provides engineering services for digital video products, including design, development, integration, and test services, said its test lab is being combined with assets from Vidiom Systems to create enableTV. Out of Home Advertising Firms Merge
Santa Monica-based Fuelcast, which operates an advertising network at gas stations, said Thursday that it has merged with Bhootan, which provides out-of-home media at retail stores, to create a new company called Outcast. According to the firms, the combined company will reach over 6,000 digital LCD screens at Shell, ConocoPhillips, and Holiday Station gas stations, retail screens at Walgreens, Sears, Kmart, Albertsons, Stop N' Shop, plus fast food outlets Carl's Jr. and McDonald's. BridgeCo Gets Design Win With Pioneer
Los Angeles-based BridgeCo, a developer of home entertainment related semiconductors, has scored a win with Pioneer, the firm said earlier this week. BridgeCo said that Pioneer is using the firm's technology in two A/V receivers from the firm, the Eliste SC-07 and SC-05. Financial impact of the design win was not disclosed.
