AudioMicro Raises Series A Funding
Los Angeles-based AudioMicro, an online marketplace for user-generated commercial music, is announcing tomorrow that it has raised a Series A funding round. The funding was actually disclosed earlier this month via a regulatory filing, as well as through this weekend's PricewaterhouseCoopers/NVCA venture capital survey. Vivometrics Gets $19.9M
Ventura-based Vivometrics, maker of medical monitoring technology, has raised $19.917M in funding, according to numbers released by this week's PricewaterhouseCoopers/NVCA venture capital report. Details of the funding were not disclosed. Vivometrics makes the "LifeShirt," a medical device which monitors such things as breathing patterns, cardiopulmonary information, and other medical data on ambulatory patients via a wireless connection.

Port Logistics Group Buys Two SoCal Firms
Venture funded Port Logistics Group, a new rollup focused on the transportation, logistics, and distribution industry, said today that it has acquired Rancho Dominguez-based Transport Express, and City of Industry-based 3rd Party Enterprise/Operon, two logistics providers based in Southern California. Mail.com Raises $35M
Los Angeles-based Mail.com Media Corporation disclosed details on the firm's venture capital funding, saying today that it has raised $35M in a round of funding led by Quadrangle Capital Partners. The firm operates Mail.com and a number of other Internet content sites. According to the firm, the round closed on September 8th, and wil be used to accelerate the firm's growth. Mzima Networks Selects CRG West
Los Angeles-based Mzima Networks, a provider of Internet backbone services, has inked a deal with data center provider CRG West, the firms said today. The companies said that Mzima will expand its network into six CRG West data centers across the United States. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. Mzima provides dedicated Internet bandwidth to companies using metropolitan area optical networks; the firm's services are used by companies with high-bandwidth application requirements.

SkinMedica Scores Debt Financing
Carlsbad-based SkinMedica, a developer of cosmeceuticals for the dermatology field, has scored $27.5M in debt from two lenders. According to GE Healthcare Financial Services and BlueCrest Capital Finance, they have provided $27.5M in a senior secured credit facility to SkinMedica. MySpace Launches Android App
Los Angeles-based social networking site MySpace said today that the firm has launched an application for Google's Android mobile operating system. According to MySpace, its new MySpace Mobile experience is available via Android Market, and allows MySpace users to access the firm's mobile web site. MicroPower Technologies Raises Funding Round
San Diego-based MicroPower Technologies, which develops technology for ultra-low power wireless video, has scored a Series A funding round from the Tech Coast Angels. Financial terms of the investment round were not disclosed. Irvine-based Specific Media, a major online advertising network, has rolled out a new product geared at offline sales reporting, the firm disclosed today. Shopatron Gets Win At Suzuki
San Luis Obispo-based Shopatron, which develops ecommerce software for the consumer goods market, has signed on American Suzuki Motor Corporation as a customer. Shopatron said that Suzuki is using the firm's software to assign online orders of motorcycle and ATV accessories to local stores. Mushroom Networks Ships T1 Replacement Technology
San Diego-based Mushroom Networks announced today that it has rolled out a service which offers "better than T1" speeds to broadband subscribers, at a significant savings to traditional T1 service. WiSpry Ships Chips
Irvine-based WiSpry, a developer of programmable radio frequency semiconductors, said Monday that the firm has sampled its first products to what the firm described as one of the largest cellular handset manufacturers in the world.
