Docstoc Adds Email Uploads
Los Angeles-based Docstoc, an online document and sharing startup, said Wednesday that it has added email uploading and publishing to the service. The firm said that any document can be uploaded to the firm via email, and it will automatically be published publically on the site. DocStoc is venture backed by Rustic Canyon Partners.

Blizzard Releases World Of Warcraft Numbers
Irvine-based Blizzard Entertainment, which operates on the online, massively multiplayer online game World of Warcraft, has released user numbers for the game, saying that it now has more than 11 million players worldwide, including subscribers, those with prepaid game cards, and those who have recently purchased the game. SheKnows Buys BabyHold.com
Los Angeles-based online women's media firm SheKnows.com said Wednesday morning that it has acquired BabyHold.com, an online site focused on parenting and baby names. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. SheKnows said that the acquisition is part of a strategy to provide advice through all stages of parenting. Gorilla Nation Piles On Another Canadian Win
Los Angeles-based Gorilla Nation, which represents web publishers to advertising brands, has piled on yet another win in Canada, this time with Reuters. According to Gorilla Nation, the firm will handle advertising inventory for Retuers.ca, the international news agency's Canadian site, as well as inventory for traffic coming from Canada to Reuters main site, Reuters.com. Central Desktop Adds Social Networking
Pasadena-based Central Desktop, a provider of on-demand project management and collaboration software, has rolled out new social networking features on its site. Eventful Teams With Billboard On Concert Promotion
San Diego-based Eventful is gearing up its music efforts with a new relationship in the music business, with Billboard, saying Wednesday that the two are collaborating on an effort to give music acts an award for "Best Concert Tour of the Year." Eventful said that music fans can log onto the firm's site and vote for one of a number of musical acts through its "Demand" service, in a cross promotion between the firm, Billboard, and strategic partner Ticketmaster. Tsavo Snags Percival From Docstoc
Santa Monica-based Tsavo Media, the online media startup headed by former Userplane founder Michael Jones, said today that it has hired on Sean Percival as Director of Content at the firm. Percival was most recently at Docstoc, where he was Content Manager, and has also previously headed up social media and search engine marketing at Mahalo.
