JuiceCaster Rolls Out In Ireland, Turkey
Los Angeles-based JuiceCaster, which operates a mobile social networking service, said Friday that the firm has expanded into Ireland and Turkey. According to the firm, Vodafone Live! users in Ireland, and Turkcell users in Turkey are now able to access the firm's service, which allows users to post pictures, video, and other information to social networking sites like MySpace, Facebook, Flickr, Photobucket, Blogger, and others. Napster Expands Reach On AT&T
Los Angeles-based subscription music provider Napster has expanded its reach on AT&T, the firm said this morning, making the service available to 13 million more of AT&T's customer. According to Napster, the expanded reach comes due to less restrictive digital rights management requirements from the labels and Napster's adoption of "more flexible technology." Broadcom Names General Counsel
Irvine-based Broadcom announced Friday morning that it has named Arthur Chong as Senior Vice President, General Counsel, and Secretary of the firm. The semiconductor maker said that Chong replaces Alvin G. Segal, who was serving as Acting General Counsel. Chong joins from Safeco Corporation, where he was EVP and Chief Legal Officer. Chong has also served at McKesson Corporation, where he spent 20 years.

Fonality Gets Win In London
Los Angeles-based PBX provider Fonality has scored a win in London, the firm said earlier this week. Fonality said that Top Gear Cars, which provides independent taxi service in the London-metro area, will use the firm's Fonality trixbox Pro business phone system. Size of the deal was not announced. Fonality is a provider of PBX software based on open source. The firm is venture backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson Growth Fund, Intel Capital, and Azure Capital Partners.

Pegasus Biologics Names VP
Irvine-based Pegasus Biologics, which develops products for the soft tissue repair and wound care management market, said earlier this week that it has named Rob Cripe as its Vice President of Marketing and Product Development. Cripe joins the firm from Smith & Nephew's Global Hip Franchise, and also has served at Kinetikos Medical and Biomet. Pegasus Biologics is venture backed by Frazier Healthcare Ventures, ONSET Ventures, and Three Arch Partners.

QLogic, DataDirect Certify Storage Products
Aliso Viejo-based QLogic said earlier this week that it has certified the firm's InfiniBand adapters and switches with Chatsworth-based DataDirect's S2A InfiniBand storage arrays. The firms said the certification is aimed at customer in the high performance computing (HPC) market. DataDirect Networks provides data storage specifically optimized to provide high performance to supercomptuers and other high performance computing environments; QLogic is a maker of storage related networking hardware (More info...)
