NeoMatrix Gains $15M In Funding
Irvine-based NeoMatrix, a developer of a noninvasive breast cancer screening device, said Friday that it has completed a C2 funding round, worth $15M. Investors in the round were not disclosed. According to the firm, the round was oversubscribed, exceeding an initial target of $10M in the new funding round. NeoMatrix also said it was not done raising capital, and that it has initiated a C3 round of between $2 and $3M at the same terms. Make It Work Gets Into Radio
Santa Barbara-based Make It Work, which operates an in-home, computer and electronics help service, said Friday that it has signed a multi-year contract to host a radio show on KNX 1070. According to Make It Work, the show will be hosted by Jeremy Anticouni, co-founder and Chief Technology Officer of the firm, along with radio talent Tim Conway, Jr. Make It Work serves the Southern California region with computer troubleshooting services. MyShape Promotes VP
Pasadena-based myShape, a venture-funded e-commerce site focused on personalized fashions for women, said this week that it has promoted Louise Tobia to Senior Vice President, Merchandising. Sangart Gets $50M
San Diego-based Sangart, a biopharmaceuticals firm focused on the commercialization of oxygen therapeutics, said Thursday that it has raised $50M in a Series F funding round. Names of investors were not disclosed, however, the firm said the round came from existing investors. According to Sangart, the funding round brings the company's total raised under its Series F round to approximately $100M. ARTISTdirect Signs Ad Rep Agency
Los Angeles-based ARTISTdirect, which operates an online site focused on music and film, has signed on a group to represent the firm in advertising and sponsorship sales. According to ARTISTdirect, it has tapped Traffic Marketplace for its site, to extend its reach, particularly among the teen demographic. Financial details of the deal were not disclosed. MySpace Launches March Madness Brackets
Los Angeles-based MySpace is launching a promotion centered around the upcoming NCAA March Madness basketball tournament Monday, with a promotion and $10,000 prize, the firm revealed this morning.
