Fisker Automotive Raises $85M
Irvine-based Fisker Automotive, which is developing plug-in, hybrid electric cars, said Monday that the firm has raised an additional $85M in venture capital funding. According to the firm, the funding will come from Eco-Drive (Capital) Partners LLC and Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers. The firm said the round will be its largest since its inception. The new funding will go towards development and manufacturing of its automobile.

Planetwide Games Raises $3.67M
Los Angeles-based Planetwide Games, a publisher of entertainment software and web sites, has raised $3.6M of a $4.0M funding round, including equity, debt, and warrants, according to a regulatory filing by the firm. The firm has not yet announced the funding. Planetwide Games published the title Comic Book Creator, and runs the MashON web site, which allows users to create and shore their own graphic novels and comic books.

Socialcast Gets $1.4M
Irvine-based Socialcast, a developer of social networking software for businesses, has raised $1.4M, according to a regulatory filing from the firm. Details on the funding, which closed April 1st, have not been released, however, the firm now lists Om Malik, a Venture Partner at True Ventures, as a board member. Malik is also founder of the technology publication GigaOm. Socialcast was formerly known as Event Robot. 3n Global Signs Hospital Association
Los Angeles-based 3n Global, a provider of mass notification systems, announced Monday that its system has been selected by the American Hospital Association (AHA). Financial impact of the customer addition was not disclosed. 3n said that the AHA will use the firm's emergency notification system to communicate with its employees in case of an emergency.

Oversee.net Names CFO, Expands Board
Los Angeles-based Oversee.net, a provider of domain name monetization services, announced Monday that the firm has named Elizabeth Murray as the firm's Chief Financial Officer and Senior Vice President. Murray joins the firm from Fluid Music Canada, and has also served as CFO at RazorGator Interactive, Digital Insight, and KornFerry. Leads360 Targets Zillow
Los Angeles-based Leads360, a venture-backed firm developing leads management software, said today that the firm has linked into real estate site Zillow with a new product. According to Leads360, it has teamed up with loan pricing firm LoanSifter to help mortgage professionals using Zillow's Mortgage Marketplace. Nirvanix Ties With Ocarina
San Diego-based Nirvanix, which operates a cloud-based storage service used for storing data over the Internet, said today that it has partnered with Ocarina, a provider of data reduction software. Nirvanix said that its software has been certified with Ocarina, and that the firms have conducted extensive testing and integration efforts which ties together Ocarina's de-duplication and compression products with the Nirvanix storage service. Panache Signs Canadian Customer
Los Angeles-based Panache, a provider of advertising insertion technology for the online video market, said Monday that the firm is in a partnership with TVO, a media organization based in Ontario focused on public education. Panache said that TVO will integrate its platform and services into its online content, which is available on sites such as TVO.org, TVOParents.com, and TVOKids.com. Epicor Gets Win
Irvine-based Epicor Software is reporting today that the firm has been selected by software provider IGEFI, as part of an enterprise resource planning (ERP) system. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed by Epicor. According to the firm, IGEFI is using the firm's global financial management solutions at its worldwide offices, replacing local legacy systems. Epicor is a supplier of enterprise resource planning, customer relationship management, and supply chain management software.

Arrowhead Ups Investment in Unidym
Pasadena-based Arrowhead Research disclosed this morning that the firm is increasing its ownership in Unidym, a developer of carbon nanotube technology and products. Arrowhead said that the buy comes through a stock exchange with holders of Unidym's Series A preferred stock, and will take it from 51.5% ownership in Unidym to 58.1% ownership. Arrowhead said the deal is worth 1,564,610 shares of its restricted stock.

Breach Gets Win At Online Auto Retailer
Carlsbad-based Breach Security, a developer of security tools, announced today that the firm's products have been selected by online retailer AutoAnything. Breach said that AutoAnything will use its WebDefend managed web application security product, however, the firm did not disclose the financial impact of the win. The solution will be used for PCI compliance monitoring and security protection.
