Los Angeles-based CrownPeak, a developer of content management software, said Tuesday that the firm has rolled out a suite of new features for its CMS tools. Brickfish Wins Nike Account
San Diego-based Brickfish, a provider of social media marketing and advertising services, said Tuesday that Nike is using the firm as part of a user-generated photo contest. Brickfish said that Nike is running a campaign called "What Do You Play For?" with the Youth Noise organization, which will ask entrants to submit photos demonstrating how they create impact using sports. HireRight Ties With HRsmart
Irvine-based HireRight, which provides employment background and drug screening services via an "on-demand" offering, said today that it has inked an agreement with HRsmart. HRsmart is a developer of talent management software used for managing job applicants and employees. According to HireRight, the link will allow business users using HRsmart to manage their background and drug screening programs directly through that software. Jazz Semiconductor Gets Korean Win
Newport Beach-based Jazz Semiconductor reports today that the firm has scored a win with Korean fabless semiconductor firm Cesign. According to the firm, Cesign has selected its 0.25 micron, Bipolar-CMOS-DMOS process and technology for development and manufacturing of a Class-D amplifier for thec onsumer electronics market. San Diego-based Inovio Biomedical Corporation said yesterday that the firm has appointd Ng Tee Khiang to the firm's board. Solarflare Communications Hires VP
Irvine-based Solarflare Communications, which develops 10 Gigabit Ethernet silicon, said today that it has hired on Mike Smith as the firm's Vice President of Product Marketing. Smith joins the firm from Emulex, where he was the company's Executive Vice President of Worldwide Marketing. Smith has also served at Adaptec and Western Digital. Socialcast Confirms Round, But Headed North
Irvine-based Socialcast has confirmed the firm's recent $1.4M funding, saying late Monday that the firm raised $1M in funding from True Ventures, along with $400,000 in angel investments. However, the firm also said in conjunction with the funding, that it is moving to San Francisco. Cianna Medical Finds $10M
Aliso Viejo-based Cianna Medical is reporting today that the firm has completed a Series B funding round worth more than $10M. The firm, which is developing treatments for early stage breast cancer, said the funding comes from Emergent Medical Partners, Saints Capital, Mitubishi International, Fog City Fund, as well as several private individuals. Bikestation Gains Funding
Irvine-based Bikestation, a developer of facilities for bicycle commuting, has scored an investment from the Tech Coast Angels angel investment group, the TCA said this morning. According to the Orange County arm of the Tech Coast Angels, the investment was led by Raulee Marcus. Amount of the investment in Bikestation was not announced. WiSpry Gets $10M
Irvine-based WiSpry, which develops radio frequency (RF) semiconductors for the wireless industry, said this morning that it has raised $10M in a first close of a Series C financing. According to the firm, the round was led by Paladin Capital Group, as well as prior investors L-Capital Partners and Blue Print Ventures.
