Microsemi Buys Power Device Firm
Irvine-based Microsemi disclosed Thursday that it has acquired the Space Level Power Products business of Spectrum Microwave. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Spectrum's Space Level Power Product business is a manufacturer of RF and microwave components and systems used for the satellite market. Microsemi said the acquired business will have minimal revenues associated for the next several quarters.

Citysearch Expands Ties With Idearc
West Hollywood-based Citysearch, the local online business guide owned by IAC, said Thursday that the firm has expanded its relationship with yellow pages publisher Idearc Media. Citysearch said it will integrate performance-based advertising from Idearc's Superpages.com site into its publishing network. Citysearch said that as a result, its own advertisers will be included on Superpages.com and Switchboard.com, which are both owned by Idearc. SpaceX Signs Argentina's Space Agency
Hawthorne-based SpaceX, the commercial spaceflight venture run by Elon Musk, said Thursday that the firm has signed an agreement with Argentina's National Commission on Space Activity for two satellite launches. According to SpaceX, the deal will send two Earth observation satellites into orbit on SpaceX's Falcon 9. Financial impact of the wins was not disclosed. TorreyPines Therapeutics Hires Investment Banker
La Jolla-based TorreyPines Therapeutics said Wednesday that the firm has hired on investment bank Merriman Curhan Ford as a financial advisor. TorreyPines said that Merriman Curhan Ford will help the firm assist in evaluating "strategic options," including sale of the company or its assets. The hiring of the bank follows the layoff of most of the firm's employees earlier this month. TorreyPines was previously focused on developing treatments for migraine, chronic pain, and xerostomia.

Yardi Nabs Customer
Santa Barbara-based Yardi Systems, which develops real estate investment and property management software, said Thursday that the firm has signed on customer National Community Renaissance (National CORE). VMIX Ties With TV Stations
San Diego-based VMIX, a provider of software used by web sites to manage online video publishing, said Thursday that the firm has inked a deal with television broadcasting firm Post-Newsweek Stations. OpenX Launches Advertising Marketplace
Pasadena-based OpenX Technologies, a provider of ad serving software for web publishers, announced this morning that the firm has launched a new, advertising marketplace it is calling OpenX Market.
