Occam Networks Gains Broadband Provider
Santa Barbara-based Occam Networks reported earlier this week that it has signed on a 10,000 access line supplier of broadband to businesses and residences. According to Occam, it has signed on Sbastian, a Kerman California-based provider of voice, high speed Internet, and IPTV services, as a customer. Financial impact of the deal was not disclosed. Spot Runner Looks To Dismiss WPP Suit
Los Angeles-based Spot Runner, which operates an online service to help businesses place television advertising, has filed to dismiss a lawsuit filed against the firm by one of its investors, WPP. In a legal filing, Spot Runner said that among other things, WPP was unable to point to a decline in Spot Runner's stock price, that WPP sold almost 40% of its common shares of stock at a profit, and that securities laws were not made to ensure that companies like WPP did not lose money in their invest (More info...)

Break.com, G4 In Content Deal
Los Angeles-based Break.com, which operates a video and entertainment web site focused on men, reports today that it has inked a partnership with G4's "Web Soup" television series, where "Web Soup" will feature a Break.com segment. According to Break, "Break.com This Week In Fail" will feature stunt attempts from the site's library of user submitted videos. King.com Releases Mobile Games
Los Angeles- and London-based King.com, which operates an online casual gaming web site, said this morning that it has released 20 games for mobile phone platforms. According to the firm, the skill games run on simple feature phones manufactured by Nokia, Samsung, LG, Sony Ericsson, Motorola. The launch of the games follows the launch of similar games for the iPhone by the firm earlier this week.
