Memeo Launches File Transfer App
Aliso Viejo-based Memeo, which develops consumer backup and synchronization software, announced Wednesday that it has launched a new product for transferring files between business partners and colleagues. The firm said its new product, Memeo Send, allows users to share videos, presentations, and digital images, which are often difficult to send via email or file sites. RFaxis Gets Design Win
Irvine-based RFaxis, a semiconductor firm developing wireless RF products, said Wednesday that the firm's products have been selected by Taiwanese firm CeraMicro Technology Corp. The firm said that it will use RFaxis' front-end ICs as part of Zigbee and WLAN products. CeraMicro develops wireless modules for Zigbee, WLAN, and Bluetooth. RFaxis did not say what kind of volume it was expecting from the design win.

Docstoc Launches Document Marketplace
Santa Monica-based DocStoc, the online document sharing site run by Jason Nazar, is announcing this afternoon that the firm has launched a new, online store which will allow people to both buy and sell professional documents. Rubicon Signs New York Advertising Firm
Santa Monica-based Rubicon Project has signed a New York company, Katz 360 Sales, to give Katz access to its inventory of premium display ads, the firms announced today. Katz 360 Sales said it is using Rubicon Project's Internet advertising infrastructure to customize content and audience selections for its advertisers. A number of Southern California technology firms have nabbed top spots in the annual Inc. 500 list of the fastest-growing private companies in the US. Make It Work: Business Growing, Hiring
Santa Barbara-based Make It Work, the in-home computer and electronics help firm headed by Eric David Greenspan, reports that the firm is seeing its business grow, and has been hiring additional technicians at the company. Greenspan said that the privately company is expecting profitable, topline growth this quarter, and saw another EBITDA positive month in July, plus an increase in its bank balance for the first time this year. Studios Get Preliminary Injuction Against RealNetworks In DVD Case
A consortium of Hollywood studios, including Disney, Paramount, Sony, Twentieth Century Fox, NBC Universal, Warner Brothers, and Viacom, has scored a preliminary injunction against RealNetworks in a DVD copying software case. Rapid Bridge Adds Sales VP
San Diego-based Rapid Bridge, a developer of ASIC and other semiconductor designs for the systems-on-a-chip market, announced today that it has hired on Vikas Chaudhary as the firm's Vice President of Sales. Chaudhary was most recently director of worldwide sales at ARM, and has also served at Artisan/Nurlogic, Cadence Design Systems, Avant! Corporation and Nortel Networks. Rapid Bridge provides a collection of semiconductor design IP, used for systems-on-a-chip designs.
