SolSource Energy Acquired By SolarCity
Culver City-based SolSource Energy, a installer of solar power systems owned by Clean Fuel Connection, Inc., has been acquired by Bay Area solar installer SolarCity, SolarCity said Thursday afternoon. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Jim Cahill, who was co-owner of SolSource Energy, joins SolarCity as Regional Operating Director in Southern California. TrueCar Launches Monthly Pricing Report
Santa Monica-based TrueCar, the automotive pricing startup headed by Scott Painter, said yesterday that it has rolled out a new, monthly consumer price report. The firm said that the monthly report will help consumers identify which cars have the most negotiating room, best deals, and other information. TrueCar is a spinout of Zag Automotive, and gathers its data from actual sales information from local dealerships.

Solera Holdings Buys German Firm
San Diego-based Solera Holdings, which develops software and services for the automobile insurance claims processing industry, said this morning that it has signed a definitive agreement to acquire AUTOonline GmbH Informationssyteme. Solera said it will buy 85% of AUTOonline's outstanding share capital for approximately $85M, with rights to purchase the remaining stake in AUTOonline at ten times AUTOonline's consolidated EBITDA, after December 31st. United Sample Extends Services In Canada
Los Angeles-based United Sample, which operates an online survey and sampling service, said late Wednesday that the firm has extended its services in Canada. The firm said that it has teamed with Clear Sky Media to launch a survey service for Clear Sky's RedFlagDeals.com. RedFlagDeals provides comparison shopping and bargain alerts to consumers in Canada.
