One Recovery Raises $1.49M
Del Mar-based One Recovery, an online community site providing support for people recovering from addiction, has raised $1.49M in a funding round, according to a filing from the firm this week. According to the filing, the funding comes as part of an ongoing, $2.5M fundraising effort. One Recovery is headed by David Metzler, formerly a venture capitalist at Mission Ventures and investment banker at CIBC World Markets.

Shackleton Equity Partners Buys SafeHarbor
Beverly Hills-based private equity firm Shackleton Advisors announced today that it has acquired SafeHarbor Technology, a Seattle-based provider of software for managing inbound telephone, email, and chat requests. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. SafeHarbor provides software used to service customer requests and reduce customer support costs, and counts IBM, American Airlines, T-Mobile, Sprint, and SunTrust as customers. BioIQ Raising Funding
Santa Barbara-based BioIQ, a startup developing personalized medical testing services, is in the midst of raising funding, according to multiple sources. According to recent regulatory filings by the firm, it is in the midst of raising $8.7M in funding. Those filings indicate that $393,000 of that funding has been received since July of this year, with PricewaterhouseCoopers/NVCA's MoneyTree report putting the total at $629,000. Total Beauty Gets $800K More
Beverly Hills-based Total Beauty Media, an online site providing beauty advice, product reviews, and other information, has raised $800,000 more in funding, according to last week's PricewaterhouseCoopers/NVCA MoneyTree report. The firm had not disclosed the funding publicly. Total Beauty has previously raised funding from US Venture Partners and Wallington Investors. Total Beauty is headed by Emrah Kovacoglu.

LeisureLink Raises $3.5M
Pasadena-based LeisureLink, which operates an online marketplace and service for vacation rental booking, has raised $3.5M in a funding round. The round came to light through last week's PricewaterhouseCoopers/NVCA MoneyTree report. Details on the funding have not been announced by the firm. SkinIt Snags Au As CTO
San Diego-based Skinit, a developer of personalized "skins" for electronic items, reports today that it has hired on Stanford Au, former SVP of technology at Shutterfly, as its Chief Technology Officer. Au was behind Shutterfly's Photobook line of products, and also held the position of VP of Products at WebEx. The firm said that Au has also previously served as an executive at Virage, inc., AOL/Netscape Communications, KIVA, Apple Computer, Inc., Sun Microsystems, Inc. and Hewlett-Packard.

VIZIO, Sony In Patent Settlement
Irvine-based HDTV firm VIZIO said late Wednesday that the firm has licensed its digital TV patent portfolio to Sony, resolving an ongoing patent dispute with the firm. Financial details of the licensing deal were not disclosed. Vizio said that Sony has become a licensee of its patent portfolio, and it has also become a licensee under Sony's color television patent portfolio. AppBuzz.com Takes On Startup News
The team behind Los Angeles-based DemoPit.com, an online site reviewing new startups, has launched a new, Digg-inspired site focused on user-submitted startup news. According to John Diep of DemoPit.com, the site has just launched AppBuzz.com, a site which allows any startup to submit their own startup news, ideas, and tips. The new site uses the open source Plugg content management system.
