Kingston, Paramount Tie On Movies Via Flash Memory
Fountain Valley-based memory maker Kingston Technology, and Paramount Digital Entertainment said Monday afternoon that the two are in a deal to deliver full-length, motion pictures on Kingston's flash memory products. DOE Gives X PRIZE Foundation $5.5M
Playa Vista-based X Prize Foundation, the nonprofit group looking to spur technology innovation through cash-based prizes, has scored $5.5M from the Department of Energy. According to the DOE, it is awarding $5.5M from the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act to the foundation, as part of the Automotive X PRIZE Competition. Impact Radius Finds More Funding
Los Angeles-based Impact Radius, a firm which is developing a service to link performance advertising to TV, radio, print, and online channels, has raised $1.0M in a funding round, according to a recent regulatory filing from the firm. No details on the funding have been announced by the company. The firm's web site indicates it is launching in January of next year. Intuit Expands Offerings
Intuit's Calabasas-based Digital Insight unit is expanding its offerings today, saying that it is making its online financial management solution, FinanceWorks, available to bank and credit unions who aren't using its Internet banking platform. FinanceWorks, which provides users with tools for tracking cash flow and spending, credit card sites and other bank accounts, had previously only been available to credit unions and banks using Digital Insight's banking technology. Lottay Raises $200K
Ventura-based Lottay, an online social gifting firm, has raised $200K more, according to a regulatory filing by the firm last week. No details on the funding have been announced by the company, which is backed by DFJ Frontier. Lottay allows users to gift applications on Facebook, and also allows for users to band together for group gifts.

Central Desktop Links To Authentication Service
Pasadena-based Central Desktop has linked its software-as-a-service, project management tools to Internet identity services provider TriCipher, the firm announced today. Central Desktop said the link with TriCipher's myOneLogin allows users to gain additional authentication and protection against password attacks. myOneLogin adds multi-factor authentication to protect against password theft, phishing, and other attacks. Financial arrangements between the firm were not announced.

Stickam Launches New Service
Los Angeles-based streaming media site Stickam.com announced today that it has rolled out a new service which allows its artists to create streaming media sites using their own domain names. Stickam said the service, a new level of its PayPerLive service, allows artists to create their own community powered by Stickam's back end technology. Projjix Launches Consulting Marketplace
Irvine-based Projjix said today that it has launched a beta of a service to help consultants connect with potential customers. The startup, headed by Jim Hazboun, said its site will help Fortune 500/1000 companies find and engage consultants. The web site allows consultants to post information about their services and/or projects, and also allows companies to search for consultants, post projects, and more. OpenX, Microsoft In Advertising Technology Deal
Pasadena-based OpenX is in a major deal with software giant Microsoft, saying today that the two are in a deal to cross-market and promote products to their publishers. OpenX said it it will become a preferred partner to publisher for enterprise ad serving, and will promote Microsoft's Content Ads monetization products, as part of a multi-year agreement. Ixia Completes Acquisition
Calabasas-based Ixia reported this morning that it has completed its acquisition of Agilent Technologies' Data Networks Product LIne. The deal was worth approximately $44M in cash plus assumption of certain liabilities. Ixia had said it would acquire the Agilent product division last week. N2X provides high speed, Ethernet IP testing products.

SRS Labs, DivX In HD Audio Deal
Santa Ana-based SRS Labs, a developer of surround sound and other audio technology, and San Diego-based DivX, which develops video encoding/decoding products, have partnered on an audio plug-in for the DivX player and Web Player including SRS audio. According to SRS, they will provide a SRS WOW HD DivX Edition plug-in to the DivX software, which will provide immersive, 3D audio. SRS said the plug in will provide a "significantly" more natural sounding audio experience.
