Yidio Raises Around $500K For Movie Site
San Diego-based Yidio, an online site for finding television shows and movies online, disclosed Thursday that it has raised around $500,000 in angel funding from angel investors, including Adam Warms. The round announced at the NewTeeVee Live conference. Yidio was founded by Adam Eatros.

Global Analytics Gets $10M
San Diego-based Global Analytics, a developer of financial analytics and fraud detection technology, has raised $10M in a funding round with a target of $14M, according to a regulatory filing by the firm Thursday. No details on the funding have been announced by the firm, however, Peter Rip of Crosslink Capital is now listed as a board member at the firm. Gizmo5 Acquired By Google
San Diego-based Gizmo5, the voice-over-IP service and software started by former MP3.com founder Michael Robertson, has been acquired by Google. Google announced the deal late Thursday afternoon. According to Google, it does not have any specific features to announce right now, but will be adding Gizmo5's engineers to its Google Voice team. Google said it is suspending new signups for Gizmo5's VoIP service, and existing users will no longer be able to sign up for a call-in number. Financial term (More info...)

FlipGloss Acquired By Forbes
Santa Monica-based FlipGloss, which develops online photo publishing software for the magazine industry, has been acquired by Forbes. Forbes Media announced the deal Thursday afternoon, but did not disclose any financial terms of the deal. According to Forbes, it will incorporate FlipGloss' technology into Forbes.com, starting with the launch of a feature called "The World's Most Powerful People." Cyntellect Raises $15.5M
San Diego-based Cyntellect, a developer of products for the biotech industry, has raised $15.5M, according to a regulatory filing from the firm this week. The funding is part of an ongoing, $18.6M fundraising effort, and includes both equity and warrants. Cyntellect has previously raised funding from Bru II Venture Capital Fund, Third Security, and others.

Yardi Wins Texas Customer
Santa Barbara-based Yardi Systems, which develops real estate investment and property management software, reported earlier this week that it has signed Dallas, Texas-based Westmount Realty Capital as a customer. Size of the win was not disclosed. Yardi said Westmount Realty Capital will use its products to manage bookkeeping for approximately 60 entitites. Westmount is a provider of commercial real estate investment, development and lending.

V-Vehicle Ramping In Louisiana
San Diego-based V-Vehicle, the stealthy, automotive startup which is heavily backed by such notable investors as Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Google, and T. Boone Pickens--is apparently ramping up its factory in Louisiana, according to a report. According to local Monroe, Louisiana paper The News Star, V Vehicle executives are looking for local, Louisiana companies for such things as industrial machinery, metal fabrication, industrial lighting, food and vending services, and more. Clicker.com To Launch Public Access
Los Angeles-based Clicker Media, a provider of an online programming guide to Internet television, said today that it is publicly launching its site, Clicker.com today. The startup, which is venture backed by Benchmark Capital and Redpoint Ventures, said its site includes guides to content in Netflix Instant Streaming, Amazon VOD, as well as another 1,200 sources. Chumby Ships New Internet Clock Radio
San Diego-based Chumby, which develops Internet-connected, highly programmable Internet alarm clocks, said today that it has released a new product called the chumby one. The firm said the chumby one is a Wi-Fi connected, Internet clock radio, and will cost $119.95. The device allows users to stream content from the Internet directly to the clock. Brickfish Powers Zappos.com, Steve Madden Promotion
San Diego-based Brickfish, a developer of social media and online advertising software, said today that online shoe and apparel firm Zappos.com and Steve Madden are using its social media platform. According to Brickfish, its software is behind the "Steve Madden's SOLE SEARCH powered by Zappos", a promotion which encourages users to create their own, Steve Madden shoe designs to be sold by Zappos. Cogent Systems Gets FBI Cert
Pasadena-based Cogent Systems, a developer of fingerprint readers and other biometric identification equipment, announced this morning that its handheld, mobile identification devices have been certified compliant with a FBI effort. The certification covers its Cogent Fusion, Mobile Ident II, and Mobile Ident III products. VMIX, Qik Partner On Mobile Streaming
San Diego-based VMIX, which provides an online service for managing online video for publishers, said today that it is in a strategic partnership with Qik, a provider of mobile live streaming services. VMIX said that the two are integrating Qik's Mobile Live Streaming technology with VMIX's platform, to provide VMIX customers with a way to stream live video from mobile phones.
