Scripped Merges With ZhuraScripped, the developer of online screenwriting software headed by Sunil Rajaraman, has merged with Zhura.com, another online provider of screenwriting software, the firms announced to their users today. 3Tera Acquisition CompletesCA announced Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of Irvine-based 3Tera, a developer of virtualization and cloud computing products. Financial terms of the deal, which was originally announced February 24th--was not disclosed. CA said it plans to extend 3Tera's support--currently based on Xen--to VMware ESX and Microsoft Hyper-V. 3Tera's products are used to manage the deployment of both public and private cloud computing.

Materia Raises $11.75MPasadena-based Materia, which is commercializing olefin metathesis catalyst technology developed by Caltech Nobel Prize winner Robert H. Citysearch Nabs Gorilla Nation's LouvionWest Hollywood-based Citysearch announced today that it has hired on Christophe Louvion--the former CTO of Gorilla Nation Media--as its Chief Technology Officer and Senior Vice President of Core Products. Citysearch, which is owned by IAC, said that Louvion will be responsible for the firm's CityGrid's ad and content engine, plus its search and data platform. Shackleton Equity Partners Buys Excel Meridian DataLos Angeles-based private equity firm Shackleton Equity Partners said today that the firm has acquired Excel Meridian Data, a provider of data storage equipment. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. According to Excel Meridian Data, the acquisition will allow it to expand its data storage hardware and software offerings. Slacker Adds Windows Mobile AppSan Diego-based personalized radio service Slacker said Wednesday that it has debuted a new application for Windows Mobile. Slacker said that its Slacker Radio Mobile app provides access to its personalized Internet radio service, and will debut on T-Mobile HTC HD2.
