Solarmer Ties With Artistic Glass Firm
El Monte-based Solarmer, the UCLA spinout which is developing flexible photovoltaic power technology, is in a deal to provide its technology to an artist glass design studio, Joel Berman Glass Studios. According to the two firms, Solarmer Energy and Joel Berman Glass Studios are in a joint development project, where the two developed a decorative glass panel which can general clean renewable energy. Bccthis Adds Statistics To Twitter Client
Los Angeles-based Bccthis, which develops software which connects Twitter, Microsoft Outlook, and the BlackBerry, said this week that it has launched a number of features to provide statistics and analytics on the service. The firm--which is headed by Dave Waldman and Michael Steuer--said that its Twitter client now gives information such as number of clicks received per-country, hourly, daily, and weekly breakdowns of clicks, and more. Teridian Acquired By Maxim For $315M
Irvine-based Teridian Semiconductor, a maker of systems-on-a-chip components for the energy measurement market, has been acquired by Maxim Integrated Products, the firms said this week. According to Maxim, it will pay approximately $315M in cash for Teridian. Maxim said that Teridian has a 50 percent share in the growing system-on-chip (SoC) energy measurement market. MySpace Links Videos To Google Buzz
Los Angeles-based social networking site MySpace said today that it has added Google Buzz as one of the ways to share its videos on the MySpace site. The social networking site previously allows users to share videos on Facebook, Twitter, and Digg. Google Buzz is a feature of Google's Gmail email program, which allows users to share links and comments with other Gmail contacts.

Cramster Gets $6M
Pasadena-based Cramster.com, which operates an online homework help web site, is announcing today that it has raised $6M in a Series B funding. The funding came from Primera Capital. As part of the funding, Ori Sasson of Primera is joining the firm's board of directosr. Cramster said it will use the funding to expand its product line, including growing its Pasadena team. Cramster was co-founded by Aaron Hawkey and Robert Angarita, and had previously raised $3M in funding from angel Shai Reshef.

Greycroft Raises $130.7M For Digital Media Fund
Greycroft Partners, a digital media venture capital fund which is active in both Los Angeles and New York, said this morning that it has closed a $130.7M, second fund, Greycroft II. The firm--which is headed in LA by Dana Settle--said the new fund will focus on businesses in the digital media space. Greycroft said it will invest between $500,000 and $5M in firms from the new fund. Allylix Rounds Up $3M More
San Diego-based Allylix, which is developing chemical products for the flavor and fragrance industry, said yesterday that it has closed out its Series C funding round at $9M. The firm had closed an initial $6M in its Series C round February. According to Allylix, the new funding came from Middleland Capital, and also included prior investors Blue Grass Angels, Life Science Angels, Tech Coast Angels, Pasadena Angels and Tate & Lyle Ventures. Los Angeles-based PriceGrabber.com, the comparison shopping site owned by Experian, said today that it has launched an Apple iPad application. Mojix Wins Lufthansa
Los Angeles-based Mojix, a developer of RFID technology, has scored a win with Lofthansa Cargo, Lufthansa's cargo business. According to Lufthansa and Mojix, they have completed a pilot deployment of the MOJIX STAR passitve RTLS system, in Frankfurt, Germany. Financial impact of the win was not announced.
