Clicker Gets $2.0M More
Los Angeles-based Clicker.com, the online video programming guide firm headed by former Ask.com CEO Jim Lanzone, has raised an additional $2.0M in its Series B funding, according to a regulatory filing from the firm Friday. Source of the additional funds was not disclosed. Clicker had announced in February that it had received $11M from JAFCO Ventures, Benchmark Capital and Redpoint Ventures. The new funding ups the Series B to $13.0M.

New Use For Avatar Technology: Tattoo Previews
In a new twist on the use of 3D, virtual avatar software, Aliso Viejo-based Darwin Dimensions. the company behind the Evolver avatar creation software, is powering an online website where people can preview custom-designed tattoos on their bodies. According to Australian firm Obsessive Ink, it has launched a web site where users can preview a 3D, virtual representation of a tattoo on their body, using Evolver's 3D technology. Break Media Launches Into CPA Ads, Social Media Marketing
Los Angeles-based Break Media, the online operator of a network of sites focused on men, announced Friday morning that it has launched a new division focused on CPA, performance marketing. Break Media said that Apogee Media Network will focus on customer acquisition, email marketing, and social media for advertisers, on a CPA-basis. Break said it soft-launched the division in January. DTS Inks Deal With LG Electronics
Calabasas-based DTS, a developer of digital audio processing and surround sound technology, reported Thursday that the firm has inked a deal with LG Electronics, where LG will integrate the firm's technology into its digital televisions. DTS said the deal will originally cover televisions in Korea, and set-top DMP units in Europe and Australia. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.

Openfilm To Offer Up Film Financing
Los Angeles-based Openfilm, an online web community focused on independent filmmakers, said yesterday that it will award $1 million to independent filmmakers who submit films on the website. According to the site, it is looking to award that million dollars to independent filmmakers over the next 20 months, to be selected by a stable of well known actors, writers, directors, and producers.
