Bccthis Adds Gmail Support
Los Angeles-based Bccthis, a developer of messaging software which helps users add more information to their group emails, said Monday that it has added support from Gmail to its product. According to the firm, it has added Gmail support via a Firefox add-on, which allows users to use the product using Google's popular email service. LiveOffice Claims Record Revenue In Q1
Torrance-based LiveOffice, a provider of email archiving, compliance, and backup software-as-a-service, reported Monday that the firm had record revenue in the first quarter of 2010. The privately held firm did not disclose actual financials. According to the firm, it had an annual growth rate of 207 percent in Q1 of 2010. Boingo Extends In Chicago
Los Angeles-based Boingo Wireless, which operates a network of Wi-Fi access points, said today that it has inked a deal to provide commercial and retail Wi-Fi in The Merchandise Mart in Chicago. The Merchandise Mart is a major trade show and convention destination. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Boingo said it will offer Wi-Fi to trade show exhibitors, as well as to the Merchandise Mart's retail shops, restaurants, and lobby. Local.com Taps AOL For GM
Irvine-based Local.com, which operates a network of local Internet search sites, said today that it has named former AOL exec Rajan Mohan as General Manager of its Owned & Operated business unit. Mohan joins from AOL, where he served as Director, Web Search and Local, for AOL Europe. Mohan also previously served at Hughes Network Systems. ShoeDazzle.com Gets $13M
Los Angeles-based ShoeDazzle.com, and online site focused on women's fashion and celebrity stylist Kim Kardashian, said today that it has raised $13M in a growth financing round. The round was led by Lightspeed Venture Partners, and also included prior investor Polaris Venture Partners. According to ShoeDazzle, the funding will go towards the launch of related products. Mail.com Buys BGR.com
Los Angeles-based Mail.com Media Corporation (MMC), which operates the Mail.com email service and portal, as well as its own network of content-focused web sites, said today that it has acquired BGR.com, a mobile/gadget review and news site. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. BGR.com was founded by Jonathan Geller, who MMC said would enter into a long term, multi-year partnership with the firm. Amgen Names President, COO
Thousand Oaks-based Amgen announced this morning that it has named Robert A. Bradway as the firm's President and Chief Operating Officer. Bradway has been at Amgen since 2006, and was most recently Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at the company. Bradway also has served at Morgan Stanley. Amgen said that Michael A. Kelly, the firm's VP of Finance and Chief Accounting Officer, will become acting CFO with Bradway's move.

KYTHERA Biopharmaceuticals Names VP
Los Angeles-based Kythera Biopharmaceuticals, which is developing aesthetic medicine products, said today that it has named Pierre J.G. Corin as the firm's Vice President, Global Clinical Operations. Corin joins the firm from Allergan Medical, and has also served at PDD, Covance, clinTrials, and Innovex. Kythera is developing products related to adipolysis, facial contouring and pigmentation modulation, among other research.
