Move Networks Raises $3.0M, Sets Up Shop In Irvine
Move Networks, a developer of adaptive streaming technology used to stream high definition television over the Internet, has raised $3.0M in a funding round, part of what appears to be a $20M targeted fundraising effort, and also set up its corporate headquarters in Irvine. The firm, which was previously based in American Fork, Utah, has not yet announced the funding or details of the new corporate headquarters. Two LA Residents Arrested In Craigslist Software Piracy Probe
The Software & Information Industry Association, the industry group which works to reduce software piracy on behalf of software publishers, reported this week that it has helped to get two, Los Angeles residents arrested for selling pirated and counterfeit software on Craigslist. RealD Revenues Grow To $189M For Year
Los Angeles-based RealD, the developer of 3D projection technology which is waiting in the wings for an IPO, revealed its latest year's result in an updated S-1 filing with the SEC last night. According to RealD, it had gross revenues of $189.08M for the year ended March 26, with a net loss of $39.7 for the year. Revenues were up significantly from the $45.0M in gross revenues the firm reported for 2009. Valeant Completes Aton Pharma Buy
Aliso Viejo-based Valeant Pharmaceuticals said today that it has completed its acquisition of Aton Pharma, a specialty pharmaceuticals firm focused on ophthalmology and other drugs. The deal was worth $318M. Aton Pharma was based in lawrenceville, New Jersey.

Telogis Rolls Out Mapping API
Aliso Viejo-based Telogis, a developer of location based fleet management, GPS route planning and navigation tracking software, said this week that it has rolled out a new mapping API based on Microsoft Silverlight. According to the company, its GeoBase Silverlight APi allows users to create rich mapping and routing applications on the web, and ties together Microsoft Silverlight and the firm's own GeoStream web server and GeoBase map engine.
