Hulu Streams Presidential Address, Allows Embedding
Los Angeles-based streaming video site Hulu said this afternoon that it is streaming the presidential address at 5:00p.m. by President Obama, and will allow other web sites to embed a live stream of the event. Hulu said the stream, which will also be made available internationally, can be embedded into any blog or web site through a widget. Rubicon Project: $100M+ In Revenues This Year, Profitability In Q4
Santa Monica-based Rubicon Project, the online advertising optimization firm founded by Frank Addante, is on track to do $100M in revenues this year and will reach profitability in Q4, according to a blog post by Addante Tuesday afternoon. Addante said the firm--which has taken $42M in venture capital from Clearstone, Mayfield, IDG, and Peacock Equity fund--is on track to achieve the "ultimate test of success" for any startup, profitability. Zag Raises $11.1M More
Santa Monica-based Zag, the online auto buying software firm headed by Scott Painter, has raised $11.1M in a new equity funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm Tuesday afternoon. ProFlowers Tops Web Traffic Rankings In May
San Diego-based e-commerce firm ProFlowers.com was the top ranked U.S. web property for May, based on percentage change in unique visitors, according to the latest comScore Media Metrix numbers. According to comScore, Mother's Day, graduation, proms, and weddings helped to drive traffic to flower gift and greeting sites, driving ProFlowers to the top of the unique visitors increase list. Southern California Teams Named Cleantech Open Semifinalists
The Cleantech Open, the clean technology focused business competition, has named the semifinalists for its 2010 competition, indicating a number of Southern California firms are semifinalists in the competition. White House To Answer Oil Spill Questions On YouTube
Search engine giant Google said today that the White House will be taking questions from its users, after a live broadcast of President Obama's address on the Gulf oil spill tonight at 5pm PST. Google said that White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs will be taking questions via its Google Moderator service, and answer them via video on the White House YouTube channel, for 15 minutes after the remarks by Obama.

Prolacta Ties With Susan G. Komen for the Cure
Monrovia, California-based Prolacta Bioscience, the venture backed firm developing human milk fortifiers for premature infants, announced this morning that it will be donating funds to the Susan G. Komen for the Cure as part of its milk donation program. OneMind Connect, Make of ExpensAble, Acquired By Administaff
Irvine-based OneMind Connect, which develops the ExpensAble expense report management software, has been acquired, according to human resources outsourcing firm Administaff. Administaff did not reveal any financial details of the buy. ExpensAble is an expense report management software delivered both as installable desktop software and as software-as-a-service. ReachLocal Gets Social With New Local Business Site
Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal said today that it has launched a new, beta of a local business site called Bizzy. ReachLocal said that Bizzy will allow users to connect with local businesses, receive exclusive offers, invitations to events, tips, and news from their favorite businesses. Qualcomm Ties With SEMATECH
San Diego-based Qualcomm and semiconductor consortium SEMATECH said today that the two are in a collaboration, focused on CMOS scaling and technology. According to the two, Qualcomm will participate in helping SEMATECH's efforts to assess the feasibility of technologies designed to extend Moore's Law. Qualcomm is the first, fabless chip manufacturer to join the group. SEMATECH is an consortium of semiconductor manufacturers working on strategic R&D for the industry.

RealD Rolls Out Kids Glasses
Los Angeles-based RealD, the provider of 3D movie projection technology, said today that it has rolled out new, kid-sized 3D glasses. According to RealD, the new glasses are designed to fit children 8 years of age and under, and will be available starting June 18th at theaters showing the Disney-PIXAR "Toy Story 3" movie.

Practice Technologies Becomes RealPractice, Moves To OC
Practice Technologies, a developer of software for attorneys and law firms, is announcing today that it has renamed itself RealPractice, moved its headquarters to Santa Ana, and also hired Carey Ransom as its new CEO. RealPractice is venture backed by Miramar Venture Partners and Rustic Canyon Partners. Ransom was most recently VP of Business Development at Brand Affinity Technologies, and also served at Webvisible and other firms.
