Sonos Ties Into Music Streaming Service Wolfgang's Vault
Santa Barbara-based Sonos, the developer of user-friendly, multi-room wireless music systems, said today that it has has linked with Wolfgang's Vault, a music streaming service provider focused on live concerts. According to Sonos, it is now offering a 30-day trial to Wolfgang's Vault, starting today. Business terms between the firms was not disclosed. Activision Taps Advertising Agency For Publishing Chief
Santa Monica-based Activision Blizzard announced today that it has named Eric Hirschberg as CEO of its Activision Publishing arm. Hirschberg joins the firm from marketing and advertising firm Deutsch LA, where he was CEO and Chief Creative Officer for the last 13 years. Zogenix Gets $50M in Debt, Equity
San Diego-based Zogenix announced today that it has just raised $35M in debt, and $15M in equity funding. The developer of biopharmaceuticals said that the $35M in debt came from Oxford Finance Corporation and Silicon Valley Bank, and was split between $25M in a term loan and $10M in a revolving line of credit. RingRevenue Ropes In Rex Direct
Santa Barbara-based RingRevenue, the pay-per-call services firm headed by Jason Spievak, has signed on a new customer today, Rex Direct Net. According to Rex Direct Net, it will offer pay-per-call services powered by RingRevenue's products. Financial details of the win were not announced. ToutVirtual Inks Deal With Symantec
Carlsbad-based ToutVirtual, a provider of virtualization management and performance management tools, said today that it has signed an OEM agreement with Symantec, to include Symantec's Backup Exec system recovery tools to its suite of products. RealD, Marchon In Eyewear Deal
Beverly Hills-based RealD, the developer of 3D movie technology, and eyewear maker Marchon Eyewear announced this morning that the two are in a licensing agreement. According to the companies, Marchon will use the RealD brand for sales of a new line of 3D eyewear, Marchon3D. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Sorenson Media Claims Revenue Growth
San Diego-based Sorenson Media, a developer of video encoding and decoding software, said today that it had 40 percent plus revenue growth in the quarter. The privately held firm--which did not disclose actual financials--claimed that it was the third consecutive quarter of 40 percent plus growth for the firm. Occam Networks Selected By New York Customer
Santa Barbara-based Occam Networks, a developer of broadband telecom equipment, reported today that it has been selected by Slic Network Solutions for a broadband deployment. The firm said that Slic, which is owned by Nicholville Telephone, is using its BLC 6000 products to deliver broadband to 700 households and 39 businesses in Franklin County, New York.
