CitizenGlobal Lands $6.0M
Venice-based CitizenGlobal, an online web site which allows producers to crowd-source video content, has raised $6.0M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing by the firm Friday. No details on the funding have been announced. The firm--which says it is currently in beta--is headed by Paul Lussier, who is the author of Last Refuge of Scoundrels and a Hollywood producer. IMDB lists Lussier as the producer of "Doing Time On Maple Drive", which featured Jim Carrey in the starring role.

GotCast: 30,000 Registrations For The Tester
Los Angeles-based GotCast, the online casting website run by Alec Shankman, reported this week that it had nearly 30,000 people register for the online casting of Sony PlayStation's "The Tester" series. The producers of the series, 51 Minds, was looking for a gamer to be a participant in the series, which awards a contract to work for Sony Computer Entertainment America's Quality Assurance team. Finistere Ventures Targets New Fund
San Diego-based venture capital firm Finistere Ventures, which is focused on early stage medical devices and biotechnology investments, is in the midst of raising a new fund, Finistere Ventures II, according to VentureWire this week. No other details of the funding have been announced. Finistere's Executive Chairman is Jerry Caulder, and its Managing Directors are Jay Brumfield and Arama Kukutai.

AECOM Buys McNeil Technologies
Los Angeles-based AECOM, a provider of professional, technical, and management support to the government and others, said today that it has completed its acquisition of McNeil Technologies, a provider of national security and intelligence services. The deal was worth $355M in cash. AECOM acquired McNeil from private equity firm Veritas Capital.

Interlink Loses President, COO
Camarillo-based Interlink Electronics, a maker of electronic sensors, said Thursday that President and Chief Operating Officer Charles Best is leaving the firm. The firm did not say why Best is leaving, but did say that Steven N. Bronson, the firm's Chairman and CEO, will also become interim President and COO of the firm.
