Histogen Raises $10M
San Diego-based Histogen, a developer of regenerative medicine products, announced today that it has raised $10M in a Series A financing round. The financing came from private investors, including Secure Medical, Leonard Lavin, Lordship Ventures, and Angus Mitchell. Histogen is developing regenerative medicine products which do not contain embryonic stem cells or animal components, and are being applied to hair regrowth, skincare, and oncology. CapLinked Adds Private Messaging, Outlook Importing
Los Angeles-based CapLinked, the developer of software-as-a-service tools for managing investor communications and venture fundraising efforts, told its users today that it has added two new features to the service. The service said that it has added direct messaging capability within the software, which allows users to communicate privately with other CapLinked users; and also added the ability for Microsoft Outlook users to import their contacts to a private, CapLinked address book. JMI Equity Closes $875M Fund
San Diego- and Baltimore-based private equity firm JMI Equity said today that it has closed on a $875M fund, JMI Equity Fund VII, L.P. JMI Equity said the new fund brings its to a total of $2.1 billion in committed capital. The fund said that JMI VII will continue to focus on providing capital to fund growth, acquisitions, recapitalizations and buyouts, investing between $10M to $100M in each of its investments. The firm was advised by Goodwin Procter LLP in the new fund.

Myspace Rolls Out New Mobile Site, iPhone App
Beverly Hills-based Myspace said today that it has launched a new mobile website and iPhone application. The firm--which is currently being revamped by CEO Michael Jones into a new, entertainment focused portal--said the updated site creates the "best experience for Myspace mobile web users". The new mobile site works with iPhone, iPod Touch, Android, Palm, and certain Nokia and BlackBerry devices. ZPower Launches Assembly Line
Camarillo-based ZPower, a venture backed developer of silver-zinc battery technology, said today that it has qualified its automated assembly line for rechargeable microbatteries. According to ZPower, the new manufacturing line will have annual production capacity of one million batteries. ZPower said it is supplying manufacturer of miniature electronic devices, like hearing aids, cochlear implants, and computer watches with its technology. RingRevenue Calls Up $4M More
Santa Barbara-based RingRevenue, the provider of pay-per-call, performance marketing technology run by Jason Spievak, said this morning that it has closed on $4M more in a new round of funding. The round was led by GRP Partners and Rincon Venture Partners, and brings the total raised by the company to $7.5M. RingRvenue develops technology which tracks responses to phone calls, allowing calls to be used for affiliate sales and tracking. Buy.com Claims Strong Cyber Monday Sales
Aliso Viejo-based online retailer Buy.com said today that its had its best sales day in company history on Cyber Monday. Actual financial details of the day were not disclosed, however, the company said that it had been so far seeing around 48 percent higher, year-over-year sales growth on it s site. The firm again cited great performance from its network of third party retailers; Buy.com has recently been pushing its marketplace sales, which allows third party retailers to list items on Buy.com (More info...)

Total Immersion Applies Technology To Surgery
Los Angeles-based Total Immersion, the developer of augmented reality software tools, reports today that it has added Los Angeles-based Vantage Surgical Systems as a partner. Enviance Wins Freescale
Carlsbad-based Enviance, a provider of software for managing environmental and regulatory risks, said today that it has been selected by Freescale Semiconductor. Enviance said Freescale is using its product to mesaure and report on compliance data for water, air, and emissions for its facilities. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.
