Invested.in Launches Affiliate Program
Los Angeles-based Invested.in, the startup developing software for crowd-funding projects, said last week that it has rolled out a new API and affiliate program. Invested.in provides both an online site for finding funding for projects and ideas, as well as a related white label software platform to create your own crowd-funding site. The company is headed by Alon Goren. Goren said the new programs will help the firm shape its application programming interface.

DTS Signs Lenovo
Calabasas-based DTS, the developer of surround sound audio and other related technology, said today that it has inked a deal with Lenovo, which will include its technology in Lenovo's new digital home products. DTS did not announce any financial details of the deal. DTS said the new products are launching in China in 2011. DTS develops audio decoding technology for surround sound.

Vizio Launches Android Tablet, Smartphone
Irvine-based Vizio, the maker of HDTV display products, said this morning that it has launched its own tablet and smartphone products based on the Android platform. According to Vizio, its VIZIO VIA Tablet and VIZIO VIA Phone products are being rolled out at the Consumer Electronics Show this week. VIZIO said its tablet will run software from the Android market, and will feature a 1 Ghz processor, 802.11n Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth connectivity, as well as a camera and HDMI outputs, among other featur (More info...)

Teleflex Sells Simi-based Actuation Businesss
The Simi Valley-based Actuation business unit of Telair International Inc, which is owned by Teleflex Incorporated, has been acquired by TransDigm Group Incorporated. According to TransDigm, the business, which supplies highly engineered electro-mechanical actuators for major aircraft, was acquired for approximately $94M in cash. TransDigm said the Actuation business of Telair had revenues of approximately $25M, and supplied products for the Boeing 737, 747, 767 and 777 and F-16 and C-130.

Senomyx Inks Deal With Kraft Foods Unit
San Diego-based Senomyx, a developer of products for the flavorings market, said today that it has inked a deal with Cadbury Adams USA LLC, a unit of Kraft Foods. According to Senomyx, the deal covers development and worldwide commercialization of certain novel flavor modulators, for potential use in gum and medicated confectionery products. Senomyx said that Cadbury Adams will pay the firm development funding and payments upon certain milestones, as well as royalties. Specific financial details (More info...)
