SAIL Launches Louisiana Cleantech Fund
Irvine-based venture capital firm SAIL Capital Partners said this week that it has launched a new, venture capital fund focused on investing in clean technology in Louisiana. The firm said the new fund -- The Louisiana Sustainability Fund (LSF) will invest in later stage growth companies with proven technologies, either currently in Louisiana or positioned to locate in Louisiana, that are making significant contributions to sustainable economic growth. AKMG Acquired By Canadian Firm
El Segundo-based AKMG, a performance-based online advertising agency, has been acquired by Victoria, BC-based Neverblue. AKMG becomes a wholly owned subsidiary of Neverblue. AKGM was founded by Kimberlee White and Steven Patton. According to Neverblue, it will continue to operate out of its El Segundo headquarters, headed by White, with Patton moving on to new entrepreneurial endeavors. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.

MarketShare Adds $10M To Funds
Los Angeles-based MarketShare, the marketing analytics technology firm run by Wes Nichols, has scored another $10M in funding, according to a regulatory filing from the firm Thursday. MarketShare was unable to provide additional details on the funding. MarketShare is backed by private equity firm Elevation Partners. MarketShare develops software which helps companies determine the best way to manage their sales, marketing, and pricing efforts.

NXTM Finds Funding
Culver City-based NXTM, a company developing social media and e-commerce tools for the music industry, has raised funding, according to lead investor Spring Mountain Capital. Size of the funding round was not disclosed. Spring Mountain Capital said it now holds two seats on the board of NXTM. The funding will go towards funding growth and development. SYSPRO Wins Bakery
Costa Mesa-based SYSPRO, the developer of enterprise resource planning (ERP) software, said today that it has been selected by baker ingredients firm Stover & COmpany, based in Cheswick, Pa. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. SYSPRO said that the bakery supply firm is using its software to control inventory, for forecasting, and operations.
