Boingo Wireless Expected To Debut In IPO Next Week
Santa Monica-based Boingo Wireless, the Wi-Fi network provider, is expected to debut next week in its IPO, according to the NASDAQ's upcoming IPO calendar. Boingo is expected to debut on Wednesday. Boingo has indicated that it will sell 5,770,000 shares of its stock at between $12.00 and $14.00 per share, trading on the NASDAQ Global Market as WIFI. RingRevenue Expands Into New Offices, Ramps Hiring
Santa Barbara-based RingRevenue, the developer of pay-per-call technology for the affiliate marketing industry, told its customers Friday that it has moved into a new space on East Figueroa Street in Santa Barbara. The firm said the move comes as it needed to accommodate new team members. The firm said it added four new team members so far this month, and has a number of other positions open at the company. RingRevenue is backed by GRP Partners and Rincon Venture Partners.

Internap Opens New LA Data Center
Apparently, the boom in Southern California's technology businesses has not been overlooked by data center operators. Hosting provider Internap Network Services said this week that it will open up a new data center in Los Angeles. According to Internap, the new center is intended to address a supply shortage for Los Angeles colocation space. Shopzilla Sold To Symphony Technology Group
Los Angeles-based Shopzilla, the online comparison shopping site owned by Scripps Networks Interactive, has been sold to private equity firm Symphony Technology Group. Scripps said that Symphony will pay $165M to acquire all of the outstanding shares of Shopzilla, made up of $150M in cash plus $16M in deferred payments. AudioMicro Partners With Microsoft On Music, Sound Effects
Los Angeles-based AudioMicro, the startup headed by Ryan Born, said Friday morning that it has partnered with Microsoft. According to the company, it will provide Office.com users with music and sound effects for their projects. Financial details of the licensing and distribution deal were not disclosed. AudioMicro provides a library of royalty-free sound effects and music for use on projects. UberMedia Upgrades Echofon
Pasadena-based UberMedia, which develops Twitter client applications, said last night that it has updated its Echofon client for the Mac and Firefox. According to UberMedia, it has redesigned thea pplication with a new user interface for the Firefox version, including expanding lists and search functionality. On the Mac version, support for drag-and-drop of photos to Tweets, ability to send your current iTunes song, as well as other features have been added.
