Report: Hulu Up For Sale
A number of reports Tuesday afternoon says that Santa Monica-based streaming video site Hulu is up for sale. According to the Wall Street Journal, the firm was approached by an unsolicited offer to be acquired. Details on potential buyers has not be disclosed or uncovered.

Xirrus Gets Win In Florida
Thousand Oaks-based Xirrus, the developer of Wi-Fi equipment, continues to rack up education wins, saying today that it has added the New College of Florida as a customer. The firm did not detail the financial aspects of the win. Xirrus develops high capacity, switching Wi-Fi hotspots which are particularly well suited to the densities of colleges and universities.

AngelVision Eyes Investments In Entertainment, New Media
A new Los Angeles investment group, AngelVision Investors, said this morning that it has launched, and is looking to invest in startup and emerging growth-oriented companies, in the entertainment, marketing and new media. The firm did not say how large of a fund the group has, but did say it was created by the founders of Ant Farm, Aspect Ratio, and Creative Domain, various creative agencies. FastSoft Wins FilesAnywhere
Pasadena-based FastSoft, the developer of Internet traffic acceleration technology, reported today that online file storage service FilesAnywhere has selected its web acceleration software. Financial details of the win were not disclosed. FastSoft develops appliances which optimize the TCP/IP protocol, increasing speed of access to files across the Internet. Contour Energy Systems Finds More Funding
Azusa-based Contour Energy Systems, the developer of battery technology based on research from Caltech, said today that it has raised a Series C funding round. The firm said the new funding came from Singapore investment fund EDBI, CMEA Capital, Harris & Harris, Schlumberger, and U.S. Venture Partners. SRS Labs Wins Lenovo
Santa Ana-based SRS Labs said today that it has signed a partnership with Lenovo, the PC and notebook manufacturer, to include its SRS Premium Sound technology in a new line of notebooks and all-in-one PCs. Financial details of the win were not announced. SRS said the technology will be incorporated into Lenovo's new IdeaPad notebook and PC line. SRS Labs is a provider of surround sound and audio processing technology.

Borrego Solar Ups PPA Fund To $100M
El Cajon-based Borrego Solar Systems, the solar power installer, developer and financing firm, said today that it has raised the amount of project financing available from the firm to more than $100M. The firm said it closed its latest fund with U.S. Bank and East West Bank, to finance new solar energy projects in Massachusetts, New Jersey and California. Poptent Expands In Brazil
Los Angeles-based Poptent, which operates a crowdsourcing web site for commercials and videos for brands and advertisers, said today that it has expanded into Brazil. The firm said it opened up a new office in Sao Paulo, Brazil, to accommodate international demand for its services. Poptent operates a site which rewards cash to Internet users who upload their own videos for brand promotions and advertisement efforts. Local.com Names Product VP
Irvine-based Local.com announced this morning that it has expanded its executive staff, hiring Mark Wallin as its new Vice President, Product Development. Wallin joins the company from Sanger Ventures, and also previously served at Jacent Technologies, Synapta, and IBM Global Services. Local.com said that Wallin will work on its plans to expand its product portfolio for local businesses.
