Electro Rent Closes Equipment Management Technology Buy
Van Nuys-based Electro Rent Corporation, a provider of rental, leasing, and sales of electronic test equipment, said Thursday that it has completed its acquisition of Equipment Management Technology. The deal was worth $10.7M. Electro Rent had originally announced the buy on August 12th.

Ticketmaster Maps Friends Through Facebook
Los Angeles-based Ticketmaster, the ticketing firm owned by Live Nation, said this week that it has launched a new app which shows ticket buyers where their friends are sitting, via Facebook. Ticketmaster said its new interactive< seat maps allow fans to share event plans and the seats they have, so that their friends on Facebook can see where they are sitting at different events.

SAIL Portfolio Firm Makes Acquisition
A portfolio company of Irvine-based venture capital firm SAIL Venture Partners, SNTech, has made an acquisition, SNTech announced earlier this week. SNTech--which has quietly been backed by SAIL since at least 2009--said it acquired the $23.4M, electric motor product line from Regal Beloit Corporation (RBC), as part of an arrangement with the U.S. Department of Justice. GoodThreads Combines T-Shirts, Causes
Looking to help nonprofits, Los Angeles-based GoodThreads said today that it has launched a new service which helps integrate the creation of customized T-shirts, hats, bags, and other merchandise into charity activities and events. Spotlight Sees Growth At New HQ
Spotlight, the venture backed provider of software-as-a-service for managing sports and entertainment tickets, said this week that it has moved from Woodland Hills to Calabasas, in expectation of growth in its staffing. The firm--which recently raised $2.5M from Point Judith Capital--said its new space is more than 60 percent larger than its previous headquarters. Funny or Die Partners With Klout
Los Angeles-based Funny Or Die, the online comedy video site, and social media influence site Klout said Wednesday that they are in a strategic partnership. According to the two, Funny or Die has become the exclusive comedy publisher offering Klout Perks awards. Klout offers up special awards, access to events, special services, and more to people based on their "social media influence". SheKnows Partners With Grocery Coupon Network
Los Angeles-based SheKnows, the women's advice and information site, has partnered with grocery store coupon site Grocery Coupon Network, the two said Wednesday. According to the firms, SheKnows will provide the Grocery Coupon Network with special offers from local na dnational brands. Financial details of the partnership were not disclosed. Grocery Coupon Network becomes part of SheKnow's Food & Cooking Channel.
