CoDa Therapeutics Lands $6M Credit Facility
San Diego-based CoDa Therapeutics, a developer of biopharmaceuticals for wound care, has scored $6M in a credit facility, according to the firm's lender. Square 1 Bank said that it has provided CoDa Therapeutics with a $6M term loan. Terms of that loan were not disclosed. CoDa Therapeutics is backed by Domain Associates, GBS Venture Partners, and BioPacificVentures. The company last raised a round of venture funding in April, worth $19M.

CapLinked Launches Pitch Competition
Los Angeles-based CapLinked, the developer of an online platform for managing fundraising and investors, said this morning that it has launched a new pitch competition. According to the firm, the new competitoin is a way to help entrepreneurs get noticed and gain exposure for their companies, with the finalists invited to make a live, online "pitch-off" to a panel of judges. Qualcomm Boosts QPrize Winner Enterproid
San Diego-based Qualcomm is putting its money behind one of the winners of its second annual QPrize Venture Investment Competition, New York-based Enterproid, Enterproid revealed Thursday. According to Enterproid, it has raised $11M in a Series A funding round, led by Comcast Ventures and which also included both Qualcomm Ventures and Google Ventures, for its mobile enterprise software which allow enterprise users to access their corporate information from their own, personal mobile devices. Xfire Raises $4M More
Los Angeles-based Xfire, the online community and chat service for gamers, announced Thursday that it has raised $4M in a new funding round. The firm said the round was led by Intel Capital, and also included Tomorrow Ventures, William Quigley and Jim Armstrong of Clearstone Ventures, Kamran Pourzanjani of PriceGrabber, and MP3.com founder Michael Robertson. Greener Capital Gets First Close On New Fund
Greener Capital, a venture capital fund focused on clean technology which has offices in Laguna Beach, said today that it has scored a first close on its second fund, Greener Capital Partners II. The fund size is $33M. The firm is headed by Thomas Caine, Charles Finnie, and Michael Katz. SRS Labs Launches iPhone Music Player
Santa Ana-based SRS Labs, the developer of surround sound and audio enhancement technology, said today that it is looking to one-up the built in music player on the iPhone and iPod touch, with its own app. The firm said its new MyTunes app, which is free for the basic app but $4.99 for premium features, supports the existing iTunes music library on those devices, but instead uses SRS audio processing technology and other features. Boingo Wireless Takes Manhattan
Los Angeles-based Boingo Wireless, the operator of an extensive network of Wi-Fi access points, reported this morning that it has inked a deal with Towerstream Corporation to manage that firm's Internet services in Manhattan. Boingo said that the network operated by Towerstream will broadcast its Boingo Hotspot SSID, and allow Boingo users and others to access or purchase Wi-Fi across Manhattan. WD Connects Media Player To Spotify
Irvine-based Western Digital, the developer of disk drives and other electronics products, said today that it has launched a new version of its streaming media player which connects with the Spotify music service. Irvine-based Kareo, a developer of cloud-based practice management and medical billing software, announced today that it has raised $10M in an equity investment round. Contour Energy Closes $20M In Series C
Azusa-based Contour Energy Systems, the developer of battery technology based on research from Caltech, announced this morning that it has raised $20M in a Series C funding round. The company said it added new investor SBI Jeffries Asia Fund L.P. as a new investor in the round.
