Hulu Plus Hits WD TV Live Player
Los Angeles-based Hulu, the television and movie streaming service, reported Thursday afternoon that its Hulu Plus service is now available on Western Digital's new WD TV Live Streaming Media Player. WD introduced its new WD TV Live Streaming Media Player this week, the latest in a line of media players from the company. The new player streams Internet video, via a wireless connection, to a television set. The Hulu Plus feature requires viewers to have a Hulu plus subscription, which runs $7.99 (More info...)

FindTheBest Takes On Smartphone Comparisons
Santa Barbara-based FindTheBest--the online products comparison site headed by former DoubleClick founder Kevin O'Conner--said this week that it has launched a comprehensive smartphone comparison feature on the service. FindTheBest said it has launched a Smartphone Buyer's Guide section, which allows users to compare smartphones based on price, specs, cell phone plans, monthly access rates, plans, and more. LightPointe Signs French Distributor
San Diego-based LightPointe, the developer of free-space optical networking equipment, reported yesterday that it has signed a deal with a French distributor. According to LightPointe, it has signed Azenn, a distributor which serves all of France from warehouses in Paris, Lyon, Marseille and Rennes. Azenn said that it is the leading distributor of communications equipment in France. LightPointe is backed by investor Berg & Berg Enterprises.
