Startups Move Into New EvoNexus San Diego Incubator
A group of startups have moved into a new, downtown San Diego startup incubator run by CommNexus, as that group's EvoNexus incubator expands into a second site. The incubation effort--which has been running in North San Diego at the University Towne Centre since 2009--said the new space includes 15,000 square foot, and initially includes twelve companies. LAUNCH Conference Prize Money Hits $151K
The prize money for Jason Calacanis' LAUNCH Festival technology conference has hit $151,000, after early stage venture investor Venture51 agreed to invest $51,000 in the winner of the conference's "Best in Show" award. OK Go Super Bowl Video Illustrates Collision Between Content, Technology

Goodreads Connects To Facebook Timeline
Los Angeles-based book community website Goodreads has connected the service to Facebook Timeline, Facebook's new feature which lets users look back what they were doing at any time. According to Goodreads, users can now get information about what books they've read each month and year through Facebook timeline, as well as statistics like how many books you read, how many pages read, and other tracking. New Owner Looks To Sell Tsavo Media, Sees Yahoo Penalty Fees
The new owner of former Los Angeles startup Tsavo Media, Canadian-firm Cyberplex, said today that it is looking for "strategic alternatives" for the unit of the firm, after a fiasco involving Yahoo's traffic quality reporting system. Honda, Volkswagen Spots Among Hulu Top Super Bowl Commercials
Los Angeles-based Hulu announced today that the most liked ads from yesterday's Super Bowl XLVI so far are Honda's "Matthew's Day Off" and Volkswagen's "The Bark Side" and "The Dog Strikes Back" advertisement--at least, according to Facebook "Likes" on the site. Hulu has been featuring the Super Bowl commercials as its Hulu AdZone section on the site, where it had been posting commercials as they aired on the Super Bowl yesterday.

j2 Global Buys Landslide Technologies
Los Angeles-based j2 Global, the provider of Internet fax, hosted email, online backup, and other services, is expanding its offerings this morning, saying that it has acquired Landslide Technologies. Landslide is a Boston-based company developing customer relationship management software for small and mid-sized businesses. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Broadcom Launches Microwave Communications Chip
Irvine-based Broadcom said this morning that it has shipped a new, wireless chip, a new single-chip microwave outdoor unit (ODU). According to Broadcom, its new chip combines the functionality of what previously took 10 off-the-shelf chips. The new system-on-a-chip product is aimed at microwave backhaul, which are used for transmitting data from cell sites to core networks.
