Ceres Delays IPO
Thousand Oaks-based Ceres has delayed its IPO, after lowering its IPO pricing estimates this week. According to industry reports, Ceres is delaying the offering until next week. Ceres had initially planned to price its IPO on Thursday.

Cynvenio Spins Out BioMolded Products
Westlake Village-based Cynvenio Biosystems, the developer of molecular diagnostics systems for cancer, has spun out a new subsidiary, BioMolded Products, focused on blow molded plastic parts for the biopharmaceutical and life science industries this week. MomentFeed Partners With Location3 Media
Santa Monica-based MomentFeed, the startup which is developing software to provide analytics on such things as check-ins and customer interaction at retail locations, said this week that it has partnered with digital marketing firm Location3 Media. According to MomentFeed, Location3 Media will be providing a layer of services on top of its platform for its clients. Aqua Connect Files Suit Against Competitor
Los Angeles-based Aqua Connect, a developer of terminal servers and remote desktop services software for the Mac OS X platform, said Thursday that it has filed a lawsuit against Code Rebel, LLC, alleging misappropriation of its trade secrets. According to Aqua Connect, Code Rebel began distributing a product around June of 2009, iRAPP Terminal Server, which it says was the result of reverse engineering its own software, Aqua Connect Terminal Server. Novatel Wireless Deploys On TELUS
San Diego-based Novatel Wireless reports this morning that it has launched its LTE-capable, USB modem on Canadian telecommunications network TELUS. Novatel said its Ovation MC679 4G LTE Mobile Internet Key will support average speeds of between 12 and 25 Mbps in TELUS LTE zones. The new device supports Windows, Mac, and Linux operating systems. Predixion Lands Fueling Operator Flying J
San Juan Capistrano-based Predixion Software, the developer of predictive analytics and business intelligence software backed by DFJ Frontier, Miramar Venture Partners and Palomar Ventures, said earlier this week that it has signed fueling and truck stop operator Pilot Flying J. Flying J operates a network of 550 interstate travel centers in North America. Predixion did not provide financial details of the win.
