ReachLocal Revenues Grow On International Strength
Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal, the provider of local online marketing services to small and medium sized businesses, reported strong growth in its international revenues, in addition to continued revenue growth at the company. ReachLocal reported a revenue growth of 24 percent--to $99.8M in Q4--with 56 percent growth in international markets. The publicly traded firm reports its results on Wednesday afternoon. ReachLocal provides services that helps local advertisers place online advertising.

Tech Coast Angels Fuel $45M In Deals In 2011
The Tech Coast Angels, the largest organized angel investment group in Southern California--and the nation--said Wednesday that it was part of $45M in funding in companies during last year, with $11M directly invested across 37 companies during 2011. The group said that it was part of more than $45M in total investments in companies during the year, including investments from venture and other investors. Boingo Expands In Portugal
Los Angeles-based Boingo Wireless, the operator of a network of global Wi-Fi access points, is continuing to expand out its network. The firm said this afternoon that it has inked a deal to manage and operate Wi-FI at ten airports in Portugal, in a deal with ANA- Aeroportos de Portugal, SA. Financial details of the deal were not announced by Boingo. The coverage includes airports in Lisbon, Porto, and other locations in the country. Scripted.com Finds $150K
Scripted.com, the online marketplace for freelance writers which has a number of Southern California angel investors, said Wednesday that it has raised another $150,000 in funding. The firm--which grew out of the efforts of USC and UCLA grads--said the funding was led by former Redpoint Ventures EIR David Wu, and also included Crosslink Capital, Shopzilla CIO Jody Mulkey and Liveops Founder Douglas Feirstein. Greycroft Adds Venture Partner Covering LA
Venture capital firm Greycroft Partners, which is fairly active in the Los Angeles area, said today that it has added a new venture partner, who will spend time in both New York and Los Angeles. The firm said it has added Bo Peabody as Venture Partner at the company, focusing on digital media. FileTrek Raises $10M
Los Angeles-based FileTrek, a developer of cloud-based, enterprise, file sharing and tracking software, said today that it has raised $10M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Anthem Venture Partners, Telesystem, and the Ontario Emerging Technologies Funds. FileTrek, which is led by Dale Quayle, the former CEO of Integrien, said it will use the funding to support the release of its product. Quest Software Loses CEO
Aliso Viejo-based Quest Software said Tuesday afternoon that CEO and President Doug Garn has stepped down. Vinny Smith, previously Executive Chairman of Quest, returns as CEO. Quest said that Garn is stepping down due to "pressing health issues." Quest said that Smith will remain Chairman of the company. Garn had been CEO for three years. Smith had served as CEO of Quest from 1997 to 2008. Quest is a developer of IT management software for the enterprise.

Peregrine Semiconductor Sues RF Micro Devices, Motorola Mobility
San Diego-based Peregrine Semiconductor has sued two of its competitors, RF Micro Devices and Motorola Mobility, claiming patent infringement, the firm said this morning. According to Peregrine, it has filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) and a lawsuit in U.S. District Court over the patents, which it says covers silicon-on-insulator (SOI) technology for RF ICs. Zuuka Launches New Smurf's Title
Santa Barbara-based Zukka, the publisher of the iStoryTime interactive children's books for the iPad, iPhone, and iPod touch, said this morning that it has launched a another title based on the SMURFs. The firm said it has released a digital version of THE SMURFS Classic Tales, via a deal with IMPS, the owner of the rights to the SMURFS.
