RealPractice Launches Marketing Automation Product
In a move which significantly broadens its market focus, Santa Ana-based RealPractice said Tuesday that it has launched a new, automated marketing software called ReplyWise. The company said the new software is aimed at all types of small businesses, and helps local businesses to respond faster to customer inquiries, track online and offline advertising, and reply more effectively to calls, emails, and social media inquiries. TeleSign Gets Patent
Los Angeles-based TeleSign, the provider of Internet fraud prevention and authentication services led by Steve Jillings, said Monday that it has been awarded a patent. The firm said it was awarded patent #8,117,106 for its TeleBureau clearinghouse for submission of fraud activity from online businesses and merchants. Punchcard Takes On Mobile Loyalty
Looking to provide a high-tech twist on retail loyalty punchcards, Pasadena-based Punchcard--the latest startup out of Idealab--has debuted a set of mobile apps which allow retailers to virtually "punch" customer loyalty cards on Android and iPhone. The startup, which currently is only offering its virtual punchcards in the Los Angeles area, is trying to make it easier for retailers to reward loyal customers. Mobile Roadie Powers Cristiano Ronaldo App
Beverly Hills-based Mobile Roadie, the developer of branded, mobile apps for celebrities and brands, reported today that it is powering the mobile app for soccer star Cristiano Ronaldo. Qualcomm Life Invests In Wireless Healthcare Firm
San Diego-based Qualcomm Life, the wireless health-focused subsidiary of Qualcomm, reported today that it has made an investment in wireless healthcare startup AirStrip Technologies. Financial details of the investment were not disclosed. ViaSat Sues Space Systems/Loral
Carlsbad-based ViaSat, the provider of satellite communications and wireless networking systems, has sued Space Systems/Loral and Loral Space & Communications, over both patent infringement and breach of contract. Kelley Blue Book Adds Motorcycle History Reports
Irvine-based Kelley Blue Book, the provider of new and used car information, said today that it has added motorcycle history reports to its website. The firm said the addition of motorcycles to its services come via a new relationship with Cyclechex, a provider of historical title information for motorcycles.
