Quest Software Bidder Is Likely Dell
The newest bidder for Aliso Viejo-based Quest Software is likely Dell Computer, according to multiple reports Friday. Quest said on Thursday that it had received a $2.15 billion offer from an undisclosed bidder to acquire the company. Quest--which already has a deal to be acquired by Insight Venture Partners--did not announce the name of the bidder yesterday. The report came via Reuters.

Coull Powers Under Armour As RevUpNet Buy Yields Gains
UK-based Coull, a developer of technology which lets publishers and advertisers tag video products within videos, has just signed Under Armour, as the firm's acquisition of Santa Barbara-based online media agency RevUpNet starts to pay dividends. Coull quietly acquired RevUpNet, the firm co-founded by Santa Barbara entrepreneurs Ben Kibler and John Greathouse, for $2M in April. VIZIO Unveils PC Line
Irvine-based VIZIO has unveiled its line of personal computer products this morning, its first in the market, as the company expands into yet another electronics area. VIZIO said it has launched a set of personal computers, including a "think and light", notebook, and all-in-one PC. The new PC line, based on Intel Core processors and the Windows 7 operating system, all are priced starting at $898.00. Teledyne In Space Imaging Deal
Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies said Thursday that its subsidiary, Teledyne Brown Engineering, has reached an agreement with NASA on a space-based, digital imaging project. Teledyne said that the Cooperative Agreement was awarded by the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA), to provide commercial companies with a way to collect earth images on the International Space Station.
