SpaceX Supply Run Set For Sunday
Commercial spacecraft and rocket developer SpaceX is getting set to launch its first, official resupply mission to the International Space Station Sunday, to deliver 1,000 pounds of supplies to the station's crew. The launch--the first actual supply run to the ISS by SpaceX--is expected to takeoff at 8:35PM EDT on Sunday, October 7th. Edmunds.com Offers Up $25 In Gas For Bay Area Car Buyers
Edmunds.com is looking to build up its Bay Area customer base, with an offer to give $25.00 towards the first tank of gas for new car buyers in the area, the company said this morning. Edmunds.com said new car buyers in the greater San Francisco, Oakland and San Jose can receive $25.00 for using the site to research their next new car purchase. The firm said the offer will be good until the end of October.

Microsemi Names Marketing VP
Aliso Viejo-based Microsemi, the developer of semiconductor products, said this morning that it has named Amr El-Ashmawi as its Worldwide Vice President of Strategic Marketing. El-Ashmawi was previously at Altera. The firm said that El-Ashmawi will focus on the defense & security and industrial vertical market.

Carlsbad-based MaintenanceNet, which develops software for managing service contracts, said yesterday that it has named Kelly Crothers as its Vice President of Marketing.
