Health Data Vision Lands $2.8M For Medical Records Software
Health Data Vision, a new startup based in Burbank, said this week that it has raised a Series A funding round, to go towards its software-as-a-service platform for medical records analysis. RealD Signs Russian CustomerLos Angeles-based 3D movie technology provider RealD said today that it has signed a deal with a Russian cinema chain, Karo Films, to deploy 200 screens with its 3D technology. Financial impact of the win was not announced. RealD said it recently opened up an office in Moscow to help serve the Russian market. Club W Gets $3.1M For Wine SubscriptionsLos Angeles-based Club W, the subscription wine club service out of the Amplify accelerator in Venice, disclosed today that it has raised $3.1M in a Series A funding round. The round came from Crosscut Ventures, Guild Capital, Siemer Ventures, 500 Startups, Amplify, and Brener International Group, as well as individuals Adam Goldenberg and Csaba Konkoly. AeroVironment Rolls Out Finance Program For EV ChargersAerovironment, the developer of electric vehicle charging systems (as well as unmanned aerial vehicles), said today that it has rolled out a new program which will make it easier for consumers to buy its home chargers. FreedomPop Fuels Up Free Broadband With $4.3M In More Funding
FreedomPop, the provider of free, broadband Internet services backed by the founders of Skype, has just fueled up with some additional capital, saying this morning that it has raised $4.3M in a Series A1 round. The funding came from existing investors DCM and Mangrove Capital. FreedomPop, which is led by Stephen Stokols, said it has now raised a total of $11.2M in funding.
