SpaceX Clears Glitches, Heads Towards ISS
Things are looking a little less stressful for SpaceX, the commercial rocket and spacecraft developer founded by Elon Musk, after the company cleared up a glitch which had taken three of its thruster pods on its Dragon spacecraft out of service earlier today, after a successful launch from Cape Canaveral. According to a status update from Musk, all of its thruster pods are now operating nominally, with the spacecraft preparing to raise its orbit as it heads towards the ISS. Web On The Go Launches No-Contract, Mobile Internet Service
Web On The Go, a new, low cost mobile Internet provider backed by Los Angeles-based Telscape Communications, said this week that it has launched its services. The service said it will provide a low cost, mobile Internet service which costs $4.59 a month plus 3.5 cents per megabyte, allowing users to access the Internet via either a USB dongle or a mobile Wi-Fi hotspot. Kotura Bolsters Board
Monterey Park-based Kotura, which develops photonics semiconductors, has named a new member to its board of directors. The firm said that Brian Wong, President and CEO of Enervate, a developer of rechargeable energy storage technology, has joined the company's board. Wong also has served at D2Audio, Primarion, and Xerox. Kotura is a developer of silicon semiconductor products, used for high speed optoelectronics.

SpaceX Runs Into Thruster Glitch On Mission
Uh oh. All did not go well in the launch this morning by Hawthorne-based SpaceX, in its second official mission to the International Space Station. According to NASA, the SpaceX Dragon achieved orbit, but ran into an issue with a propellant valve, with only one thruster pod running. SpaceX is now apparently briging up the remaining three to get the spacecraft to the International Space Station. SpaceX Falcon Lifts Off Successfully In Second Resupply Mission
Chalk up another successful launch for SpaceX, the commercial rocket firm founded by technology mogul Elon Musk. SpaceX's latest mission--a resupply mission to the International Space Station--took off successfully from Cape Canaveral Friday morning, the second, official resupply mission for the company. Teledyne Completes RESON Buy
Thousand Oaks-based electronics, aerospace, defense, and engineering products firm Teledyne said Friday morning that it has completed its acquisition of Denmark-based Reson A/S. Teledyne had originally announced its acquisition of RESON on January 29th. Financial details of the deal have not been announced. RESON provides high-resolution marine acoustic imaging and measurement products. Teledyne said the acquired company will become Teledyne RESON.

OneRoof Energy Gets $100M In Funding
San Diego-based OneRoof Energy, which provides financing for solar power projects, said Thursday afternoon that it has raised $100M in new financing for residential solar projects. The funding comes from MS Solar Holdings, which is a subsidiary of Morgan Stanley, along with Main Street Power Company. OneRoof Energy said the deal also includes debt financing from the National Bank of Arizona. Kofax Buys Business Intelligence Software Developer Altosoft
Irvine-based document capture software firm Kofax announced this morning that it has acquired business intelligence and analytics software developer Altosoft. Kofax said it paid $13.5M in cash for Altosoft, which was headquartered in Media, Pennsylvania. According to Kofax, Altosoft had unaudited, 2012 revenues of $3.4M. SendGrid Rolls Application Load Testing Service
SendGrid, the developer of email delivery APIs and infrastructure which has major operations in Anaheim, said Thursday that it has launched a new, cloud-based service for load testing their applications and APIs. The firm said its new Loader.io service lets developers stress their web apps and APIs with thousands of concurrent connections, and makes it easy for developers to routinely load test during their daily coding and deployment routines.
