Samsung S4 Teardown: Lots of Qualcomm Chips
There's been a huge boom in smartphones over the last few years, with companies like Apple and Samsung growing to dominate the smartphone market. Southern California -- among consumers -- doesn't even enter into into the picture as a place which is leading the smartphone revolution. ZEFR Adds Music Labels, NASCAR
Venice, California-based ZEFR, formerly known as MovieClips, is expanding out its partnerships today, saying that it has added Universal Music Group, Sony Music, Ultra Music, and NASCAR as partners for the company. Amonix Claims World Record Solar Efficiency
Concentrating photovoltaic solar power module developer Amonix, which is based in Seal Beach, is claiming that its CPV modules have achieved a world record in efficiency testing today. Amonix said that in testing at the National Renewable Energy Laboratory, the firm's modules had an outdoor efficiency rating of 34.9%, a world record for concentrating photovoltaic systems. Life Technologies Supports Avian Flu Detection Effort
Carlsbad-based Life Technologies, the developer of genetic analysis and life sciences research equipment, reports this morning that its equipment is being used for the emergency screening efforts for the Avian Influenza (H7N9) virus. H7N9 is the latest virus to emerge out of China which is causing alarm for its potential for becoming a global pandemic. Parasoft Links With Electric Cloud On Software Testing Support
Monrovia, California-based Parasoft, which develops software testing tools, said today that it has linked with Electric Cloud, a provider of cloud-based software testing services, to integrate their technologies. The two said the link would integrate Parasoft's service virtualization tools and Electric Cloud's software automation technology.
