Calacanis Opens Up LAUNCH Coworking Space In LA
Los Angeles has one more co-working space today, thanks to entrepreneur Jason Calacanis. Calacanis announced Thursday that he has started a new, co-working space called LAUNCH co-work, which will support a dozen startups in a 10,000+ square foot space in Culver City. Calacanis said rents will star at $50 a desk/month for unfunded startups, and $350 a month for funded startups, and that companies who would like to participate in the space will need to apply for admission. Nimble Debuts iOS App
Nimble, the developer of contact management software-as-a-service, told its users today that it has released a beta of a new, iOS application. The new app, which is available in the iTunes App Store, allows users to access contact information, search for contacts, view details and leads, add tasks and notes, and more. Scopely Snags Another Zynga Exec
Los Angeles-based mobile gaming firm Scopely said Thursday that it has snagged Reed Shaffner, the former General Manager at Zynga, as part of its product team. Scopely said Reed will head up the company's product team. Scopely, which is headed by Walter Driver, has recently turned its attention to signing up third party developers. The company has been quite active in hiring away former Zynga executives, most recently hiring Andy Kleinman, another former Zynga GM, as its Chief Business Officer. (More info...)

TubeMogul Adds To Funding For Video Advertising
Online video advertising firm TubeMogul, which has operations in Los Angeles, said today that it has raised $10M in the second tranche of its Series C funding. According to TubeMogul, the funding was led by SingTel Innov8, and also included Cross Creek Capital, Digital Advertising Consortium, Foundation Capital and Trinity Ventures. TubeMogul said the new investment will go towards expansion of its services in Asia. TubeMogul is based in Emeryville, California.

SignNow Acquired By Barracuda Networks
Newport Beach-based SignNow, a developer of mobile signature capture and document storage services, has been acquired by Barracuda Networks. SignNow was venture backed by Khosla Ventures and the Tech Coast Angels. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Barracuda Networks said the acquisition will help it strengthen its offerings in the cloud data storage market. Airpush Reaches $4M In Monthly Payouts For Mobile Ads
Los Angeles-based mobile ad network operator Airpush said this morning that it has reached $4M in monthly developer payouts, and over 90,000 live apps using its mobile ad network. According to Airpush, those numbers are 100 percent growth since August of 2012. Airpush also said it now has approximately 140 employees split between its Los Angeles and Bangalore offices. Sonos Enhances Spotify Playlist Support
Sonos, the developer of the popular, user-friendly multi-room music players, has updated its software, adding better support for music streaming service Spotify, as well as enhancing its playlists. According to Sonos, the update now lets users view Spotify playlist folders from within its app, and also includes other enhancements to its playlist functions. Sonos is based in Santa Barbara.
