Dealstruck Looks To Crowdsource Business Loans
In a new twist on the crowdfunding space, a new startup, Dealstruck, said it has launched a new service to help small businesses find business loans from investors. The San Diego startup, which is headed by Ethan Senturia and was co-founded by Russell McLoughlin, said it is aiming at businesses seeking expansion capital, and helping them connect with accredited investors. QLogic Chops Staff In Restructuring
Aliso Viejo-based storage and networking products firm QLogic said Tuesday that it has cut its workforce as part of a restructuring plan, which it says will help it drive long term profitable growth. Size of the cuts wre not announced ,however, QLogic said it expects the cuts will help it save approximately $20M in cash annually. QLogic said it will take a pre-tax GAAP charge of between $20M and $23M in connection with the restructuring.

Amazon.com Plans Grocery Delivery In Los Angeles
E-commerce giant Amazon.com is getting ready to start providing fresh grocery delivery in Los Angeles, according to reports Tuesday. In a report, Reuters said that Amazon plans to offer up its grocery business in Los Angeles as early as this week. Amazon is currently only offering those delivery services under the AmazonFresh name in Seattle. The Gores Group Buys France Telecom Orange Subsidiary Etrali
Los Angeles-based private equity firm The Gores Group has acquired Etrali, a subsidiary of France Telecom Orange. Etrali is a provider of voice and electronic trading infrastructure for the trading community. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to Gores Group, Etrali will become Etrali Trading Solutions. Etrali's electronic trading products are used in the financial markets.

Enervee Tops 50,000 Products
Enervee, the online energy efficiency and electronics comparison site headed by Matthias Kurwig, told its users today that it now has over 50,000 products listed on its site. The company said the expansion came due to increased coverage of its AC, dryer, and TV products, as well as other categories. Enervee, which is based in Santa Monica, provides an "Enervee Score" to help consumers purchase and choose appliances and other products based on their energy efficiency and energy costs. DAQRI Finds $15M For Augmented Reality Technology
Los Angeles-based Daqri, a developer of augmented reality technology, announced this morning that it has raised $15M in a private equity funding. The funding came from Tarsadia Investments. DAQRI said that Troy Carter, founder of the Atom Factory, joins the company's board with the funding. DAQRI says its customers include Twentieth Century Fox, Matchbox Twenty and SONY, who hae used the company to bring to life a "4D" experience on their DVD covers, books, and more. eHarmony: We're Number One For Online Marriages
Looking to not just find a date, but a spouse? Calacanis Starts Up New Venture Fund
Jason Calacanis is busy. Not only is he running his own technology conference, Launch, he's also making angel investments, and opening up his own coworking space, he's also created a new venture capital fund, the Launch Fund. According to a regulatory filing, Calacanis is raising $10.0M for the fund, which he said is being funded by himself, David Sacks, and one or two other LPS. Calacanis said the fund will go to focus on funding companies out of his series of LAUNCH festivals.

Pasadena-based Jacobs, the provider of professional technical services and construction and engineering services, said today that it has acquired Compass Technology Services, a provider of wireless telecommunications infrastructure design and construction services. DriveCam Wins Cement Hauling Fleet Operator
The next time you're stuck behind a big, lumbering concrete truck, you just might be a little safer, thanks to San Diego-based driving monitoring product developer DriveCam. DriveCam said today that it has scored a win with TXI, which runs a fleet of ready-mix concrete trucks, and aggregate hauling and cement hauling vehicles.
