Hulu Gets $750M, Studios To Maintain OwnershipLos Angeles-based video streaming site Hulu will receive $750M in a funding round, and continue to be owned by 21st Century Fox, NBCUniversal and The Walt Disney Company, those firms announced Friday morning, as the companies have decided not to sell their stake in the onlie television site. According to the three studios, they will maintain their respective ownership positions in Hulu. The new funding will go to "propel future growth".

NRG Solar Starts Operation On Two Solar PlantsCarlsbad-based solar project developer NRG Solar, which is a subsidiary of NRG Energy, has opened up two new, solar energy plants in California. According to NRG, the two solar photovoltaic plants have a combined capacity of 40 megawatts, and are located in Lancaster and Kings County. NRG acquired both projects from Recurrent Energy earlier this year. NRG said the plans are supplying electricity to both Southern California Edison (SCE) and Pacific Gas & Electric (PG&E). Auction.com Names Rick Sharga EVPOnline real estate marketplace Auction.com has appointed a new Executive Vice President, the firm said yesterday, and has appointed Rick Sharga to the position. Sharga was most recently at Carrington Mortgage Holdings, and also had served at RealtyTrac heading up the firm's marketing, business development, and data operations.
