Oversee.net Names Finance Segment GM
Los Angeles-based Oversee.net announced this morning that it has named a new General Manager of its Consumer Finance Group. The company--which owns a portfolio of consumer focused, lead generation and other online marketing websites--said that McFarland will head up its consumer finance websites such as CreditCards.org. Molten Games Scores Funding From NCSOFT
San Diego-based online gaming startup Molten Games has raised a round of initial funding from NCSOFT, in a Series A round, the company said Wednesday. According to Molten Games, it received a multimillion dollar investment from NCSOFT, the Korean gaming company, to help form the company to develop online games. The startup, which is headed by and was founded by Jungwon Hahn, did not disclose the amount of funding. ScoreBig Bolsters Exec Team To Accelerate Growth
Los Angeles-based online ticket marketplace ScoreBig.com is bolstering its executive team today, saying it has named two new VPs to help drive growth at the company. According to ScoreBig, it has named David Marcus as Senior Vice President, Partnerships, and Eric Wilson as Vice President, Technology and Product. Kareo Buys Medical Billing Company
Irvine-based Kareo, which develops cloud-based software for medical office practice management, has acquired a provider of medical billing services. According to Kareo, it acquired ECCO Health, which it says has been providing medical billing services for the last decade in Las Vegas. Financial details of the buy were not announced. Evergreen Buys Backyard Sports From Atari
Los Angeles-based private equity investment firm The Evergreen Group has acquired video game franchise Backyard Sports, the investor announced yesterday. According to Evergreen, it acquired Backyard Sports in the recent Atari assets auction, including the registrations, copyrights, patents, game code and all other assets associated with the brand.
