eGood Gets $3M In Seed Funding
Glendora-based eGood, a startup developing a social giving platform, said today that it has raised $3M in a seed funding round. The funding came from Wolfgang Buehler, and angel investor. According to eGood, it is using the funding to develop its mobile and in-store check-in platform. ReachLocal Loses CEO, Founder
In a huge shift, Zorik Gordon, the CEO and founder of Woodland Hills-based ReachLocal, has resigned, the company said this morning, and the company has launched a search for a new CEO. ReachLocal, which provides online advertising services to small and medium sized businesses, said that Gordon has resigned both as CEO and member of the company's board. Fate Therapeutics Sets IPO Range
San Diego-based Fate Therapeutics, which develops stem cell technology, said today in a regulatory filing that it is looking to sell 4,000,000 shares of its common stock at between $14.00 and $16.00 per share. The firm said it hopes to trade on the NASDAQ Global Market as FATE. Fate Therapeutics is venture backed by ARCH Venture Partners, Polaris Partners, Venrock, and OVP Venture Partners.

Sonendo Gets FDA Clearance
Laguna Hills-based ultrasonic cleaning device developer Sonendo announced this morning that it has received clearance from the FDA, for use of its products in root canal therapy. Sonendo, which is venture backed by OrbiMed Advisors LLC, Themes Investment Partners, Fjord Ventures, and NeoMed Management, said it has received 510(k) clearance from the FDA for its device, which it plans to launch in 2014. ServiceNow Customer Wins Award In Australia
Enterprise IT cloud sofwtare developer ServiceNow reports this morning that one of its customers has scored a big award in Australia. According to ServiceNow, Orica, a provider of commercial explosives and blasting systems to the mining and infrastructure markets, just received the ITSM Project of the Year Award from IT Service Management Forum (itSMF) Australia, for its user of ServiceNOw's software-as-a-service. Teledyne Completes CETAC Technologies Buy
Thousand Oaks-based Teledyne Technologies said late Friday that it has completed its acquisition of CETAC Technologies, a developer of sample handling and sample introduction equipment for laboratory instrumentation. Condusiv Technologies Expands Distribution To Peru
Burbank-based software maker Condusiv Technologies, which develops disk drive optimization software, said today that it has extended the distribution of its products to Peru. The company said the expansion comes thanks to a deal with technology distrbutor Ingram Micro. Condusiv is currently targeting its optimization software at the enterprise market and customers using virtualization.

ICS Mobile Links With Talent Agency On App Discovery
A local, Santa Monica-based company, ICS Mobile, which promotes mobile apps, said last week that it has linked with talent agency ICM Partners to use celebrities to help drive users to new apps. ICS Mobile, which runs FreeAppADay.com, said that the partnership will use "A-list talent" from film, television, music, sports and publishing industries, to launch a new app called the AppXChange platform.
