Magisto Gets Funding From QualcommMagisto, a developer of social video editing tools, said Tuesday that it has raised $13M in a funding round, which came from San Diego-based Qualcomm, along with flash memory developer Sandisk. The Series C funding round also included Magma Venture Partners and Horizons Ventures. Magisto is based in Israel.

Ixia Acquires Net OpticsCalabasas-based network testing equipment and software developer Ixia announced Tuesday that it is acquiring Net Optics, a developer of network and application analysis products. Ixia said it will pay $190M in cash for Net Optics. Ixia said that net Optics had $49M in revenue in 2012, and had revenues of $42M for the first nine months of 2013. Ixia was advised by Stifel, Nicolaus & Company and Bryan Cave LLP in the deal; Net Optics was advised by BofA Merrill Lynch and Dorsey & Whitney LLP.

Convertro Names Two VPsSanta Monica-based Convertro, the developer of marketing analytics software headed by startup veteran Jeff Zwelling, has bolstered its executive talent base today, announcing the hiring of two new VPs. Fullscreen Launches Channel+ Consulting ServiceLos Angeles-based YouTube network Fullscreen announced today that it has launched a new, personalized consulting service called Channel+, aimed at helping agencies, brands, and media companies with their YouTube efforts. According to Fullscreen, Channel+ has been a service of the company for two years, but has now become a dedicated business division. The new unit will provide asset management and protection, digital marketing dashboards, and more in addition to the consulting.

Brighter.com Gets $15M More For Dental ServiceLos Angeles-based Brighter.com, the dental care startup headed by startup veteran Jake Winebaum, said this morning that it has raised $15M in a Series C funding round, to expand to new markets. The new funding was led by Tenaya Capital, and also included Mayfield Fund and Benchmark. As part of the funding, Stewart Gollmer of Tenaya Capital will join the company's board of directors. Ingram Micro Acquires ShipwireSanta Ana-based electronics distributor Ingram Micro has acquired Shipwire, a provider of e-commerce fulfillment and supply chain management which was based in Palo Alto, California. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to Ingram Micro, the move will help accelerate its growth in the e-commerce fulfillment area. OneRoof Energy Names CFOSan Diego-based OneRoof Energy, the provider of solar leasing and installation services, said this morning that it has named Dan Halvorson as the company's new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Halvorson had previously been Executive Vice President of Operations and Chief Financial Officer of DivX, up until its acquisition by Sonic Solutions. Halvorson also had served at Novatel Wireless and Dura Pharmaceuticals.

Critical Diagnostics Names Board MemberSan Diego-based Critical Diagnostics, a developer of cardiac biomarkers, said today that it has named Richard Dee to its board of directors. Dee is a board director and Senior Vice President at Unilab, and also serves on the boards of Assisi Development Foundation and ASA microfinance in the Philippines, and Temasek Lifescience Laboratories in Singapore. Unilab, which is a major pharmaceutical and healthcare firm in Asia, is Critical Diagnostics' distribution partner in the Phillipines.

Yardi Wins Insurance CompanySanta Barbara-based Yardi, the developer of real estate and property management software, reported a win Monday with American National Insurance Company. Size of the win was not announced. Yardi said that American National is using the company's technology for property management and accounting. Cie Games Plans Android TitleLong Beach-based mobile game developer Cie Games said Monday that it will be releasing an Android version of the company's game, Racing Rivals. The multi-player, racing game had previously been only avialable on iOS. The new title will be available on Google Play. The game is sponsored by Nitto Tire.
