Hulu Hits $1 Billion In Revenues
Los Angeles-based streaming television site Hulu said Wednesday that it will reach $1 billion in revenue this year, up from the $695M in revenues it had in 2012, and also now has 5 million subscribers on its Hulu Plus premium service, six years after the company's launch in 2008. Hulu disclosed the new numbers in a blog post discussing the company's 2013 results. Central Desktop Launches Major Update
Los Angeles-based cloud-based collaboration software provider Central Desktop has released a major update to the company's cloud collaboration platform for marketers and agencies. According to the company, its latest SocialBridge collaboration software includes a simplified user experience, new tools to streamline client and campaign management, file upload ability, and more. EDF Renewable Energy Buys Another Texas Wind Project
San Diego-based renewable energy developer EDF Renewable Energy is buying yet another, Texas wind project, the company said Wednesday. EDF Renewable Energy said it acquired the Longhorn North Wind Project from Renewable Energy Systems Americas, the 18th renewable energy project is has in the state. Financial details of the buy were not disclosed. The wind project has a capacity of 200MW, and is located near Lubbock, Texas.

Glip Targets Salesforce.com's Do.com Users
Los Angeles-based Glip, a startup developing work collaboration and sharing software, is targeting users of Salesforce.com's Do.com service, with an offer to import information from Do.com. Glip said it is offering up data import and other assistance to help move users from Do.com, which Salesforce.com is apparently in the process of shutting down. Nordson Expands In Taiwan
Carlsbad-based Nordson Corporation, the developer of equipment for the semiconductor, electronics, medical, and other related high-tech industries, said it is expanding in Taiwan, and has doubled its footprint at its facilities in that country. According to Nordson, it has moved to a new facility that doubles its footprint for its operations in Taiwan.
