Sonos Drops Support For iOS 4, 5
Whole home music system developer Sonos is dropping support for Apple's iOS 4 and 5, the company told its users Tuesday, meaning that the company's systems will no longer work with first generation iPad, iPhone 3G, and second and third generations of the iPod Touch. According to Sonos, the move comes as it looks to "balance our need to innovate with our desire to maintain support for older devices". Snapchat Rolls Out Geofiltering Feature
Los Angeles-based Snapchat said this morning that it has rolled out a new feature called geofiltering, which highlights snaps taken in special locations. The feature--which includes highlights of locations in Los Angeles like Disneyland, Malibu, Santa Monica, LACMA, and elsewhere--features snaps that change depending on what neighborhood you are current at. Snapchat says it requires that location services be enabled, but does not store locations with the feature.

reQall Adds MIT MediaLab Professor As Advisor
reQall, the wearable software developer headed by former Apple Principal Scientist Rao Machiraju, said this morning that it has tapped MIT MediaLab Professor Alex (Sandy) Pentland as a strategic product advisor. Pentland has been called the "Godfather of Wearable Technologies". reQall--which has major operations in Ventura--said that Pentaland will advise the company on product evolution and strategy. Demand Media Sells Creativebug, CoveritLive
Santa Monica-based Demand Media said Monday that it has sold both its Creativebug and CoveritLive businesses. Demand Media said it sold Creativebug its online video business focused on arts and crafts, to Other Media, a new joint venture between AT&T and The Chernin Group,. Separately, the compay said it sold CoveritLiveto Canadian firm ScribbleLive. Savings.com Pricing Comparison Service Targets Amazon
Los Angeles-based Savings.com said this morning that it has launched a new, pricing comparison shopping service called PriceJump--which specifically helps consumers find better deals than Amazon.com. According to Savings.com, its new search engine will instantly compare Amazon product prices to prices from around the web. CurbStand Names Gojkovich CEO
Los Angeles-based CurbStand, a startup developing mobile apps which let users pay and tip for valet parking via their mobile device, said this morning that it has named Serge Gojkovich as the company's new CEO. Gojkovich was most recently the Chief Marketing Officer for ParkMe, and also has served as VP of marketing for Grindr, and was also involved with the development of social app Blendr. CurbStand says it has been offering up its app since October of 2013.

SOA Software Launches New Product
Los Angeles-based SOA Software said today that it has launched a new product, an Enteprise API catalog which helps develops in companies search for available, internal application programming interfaces.
