SecureAuth Gets $10M More
Irvine-based SecureAuth, which develops multi-factor authentication and security software, has raised $10M more in a funding, according to the company. The funding came from Toba Capital, and occurred in July. SecureAuth said that the funding will help the company accelerate growth through expansion of sales and marketing. Seed&Spark Finds $1M For Film Crowdfunding
Los Angeles-based Seed&Spark, an online crowdfunding platform aimed at independent filmmakers, has raised $1M in a seed funding round. According to the company, it adds Julie Parker Benello (co-founder of Chicken & Egg Pictures and Gamechanger Films) and Chad Troutwine (Oscar-winning Undefeated, Freakonomics, Print the Legend) to the company's board with the funding. Fresh Nation Expands Farmers Market Delivery To LA
In the latest, venture-backed startup to expand its services to Los Angeles, Fresh Nation, a startup offering up delivery services from local farmers markets, has opened up shop here. According to the startup--which is venture backed by Lightspeed Venture Partners and Lerer Ventures--it will begin delivering food from local farmers markets six days a week in the Los Angeles area. Rapt Media Sets Up Shop In LA, After $3.1M Round
Rapt Media, a startup developing technology to help create interactive videos, said today that it is setting up an office in Los Angeles, in order to be closer to where brands, agencies, and production companies thrive. The startup said it raised $3.1M in a venture funding specifically for the move, which also calls for the company to open up an office in New York. j2 Global Buys MXSweep
Los Angeles-based j2 Global said very late Tuesday that its FuseMail business has acquried the assets of MXSweep, an Irish provider of email security services. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. MXSweep provides email security, archiving, and encryption for SMBs, large corporations, and government agencies. j2 Global said that the buy will help expand FuseMail's footprint across Europe.

Equal Earth Adds Samit To Board
San Diego-based Equal Earth, which says it is a clean energy solutions provider serving the commercial and residential market, said it has tapped technology veteran Jay Samit for its board of directors. Zingle Ties With Hotel Software Provider
San Diego-based business texting tools provider Zingle, which is led by Ford Blakely, said this morning that it has partnered up with Newmarket, a provider of software used by the hospitality industry. The two said they are integrating Zingle's guest texting service with Newmarket's HotSOS hotel service optimization product. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. CALIENT Expands In Europe
Santa Barbara-based optical switching technology provider CALIENT Technologies is expanding its footprint in Europe, saying late last night that it has signed up reseller Signal Solutions Nordic Oy, which is based in Finland. CALiENT said the addition of Signal Solutions will provide it with a reseller serving Finland, Norway, Denmark, Sweden, Lithuania and Latvia.
