ClariPhy Raises $19.74M
Irvine-based ClariPhy, which develops high speed, CMOS ICs used for optical networking, has raised $19.74M in a funding round, according to a regulatory filing from the firm today. Details on the funding have not yet been announced by the company. ClariPhy previously has raised funding from Norwest Venture Partners, Onset Ventures, Allegis Capital, Pacific General Ventures, Oclaro, and Nokia Siemens Networks. ClariPhy was founded in 2002.

TenOneTen Ventures Eyes $25M Fund
Los Angeles-based venture capital investor TenOneTen Ventures, which is run by David Waxman and Gil Elbaz, is looking to raise a $25M fund, according to a regulatory filing from the company this week. The investment firm--which already has been very active in Los Angeles--indicated in the filing that the fund has yet to raise any commitments from investors. Otonomy Up In IPO
San Diego-based biopharmaceuticals firm Otonomy was up today in early trading, after pricing 6.25 million shares of its common stock at $16.00 per share last night. The company was trading around $17.52 today after its debut on the NASDAQ Global Market as OTIC. The company raised $100M in the IPO. The company priced at the high end of its initial estimated IPO range, which was $14.00 to $16.00 per share. The company is developing treatments for disorders of the inner ear. Beautified Targets LA With Mobile Beauty Appointments App
Beautified, the developer of a mobile app and marketplace which lets users book appointments with hairdressers, stylists, massage therapists, and fitness trainers, is planning to expand into Los Angeles, after taking a round of funding. Cirrus Insight Launches New App For Salesforce
Irvine-based Cirrus Insight, which develops apps which connect Salesforce with Gmail and other Google apps, has launched a new app, which it says helps companies monitor adoption of Salesforce, customer engagement, and email effectiveness. Cirris said its new app, called Cirrus Analytics, is aimed at helping such things as how many events with prospects a sales team had last week; what leads came from Gmail; how effective Salesforce email templates are; and more.

Novatel Gets MiFi Win In Canada
San Diego-based wireless data hardware provider Novatel Wireless reports a win today in Canada, saying that Manitoba-based telecommunications provider MTS is launching its MiFi 2, 4G LTE mobile hotspot on its network. Financial impact of the deal was not announced. Novatel Wireless said MTS serves 850,000 customers in Manitoba, Canada.

Everbridge Enhances Emergency Notifications
Glendale-based emergency notification provider Everbridge said Tuesday that it has added enhancements to its suite of products, adding a number of mobile and GIS features to its software. Everbridge said its product now includes new geofencing features; parcel level geo-coding; ability to send alerts via an iPad; and can support on-call scheduling of teams.
