Anametrix Ties Into Tableau
San Diego-based Anametrix, which develops marketing analytics software, said Monday that it has tied its software to Tableau, the developer of visual data analytics tools. According to the Anametrix, it has launched Anametrix for Tableau, which allow marketers to use Tableau to more easily drill down into information being collected by the company's software. Price of the new product was not announced. Anametrix is led by Pelin Thorogood.

Bill Gross Backs Startup Idea Marketplace IdeaMarket
Bill Gross, the founder of Pasadena's Idealab, is stepping out of the lab, and into the market--saying Monday that it has co-founded a new startup called IdeaMarket, which will let investors submit funded, high level startup ideas, let the public provide feedback, and allow technically oriented talent make a bid to help bring those ideas to life. Pick1 Helps You Learn More About Each Other
Westlake Village-based Pragmatic Solutions, which develops data software used by videogame developers to analyzer user interests and behavior, has applied its experience in the videogaming world to develop a new app called Pick1. TextMarks Wins Deal In Florida
Pasadena-based TextMarks said today that it has scored a win in Tampa, Florida, and will be powering the text messaging capabilities for the Hillsborough Regional Transit Authority (HART). Financial impact of the win was not disclosed. TextMarks said that its service will be used to send out text messages on bus arrivals and schedules, via a GPS-based app called OneBusAway. TextMarks provides the SMS solutions both through the app as well as through short code messages.

Boingo Launches New Public Wi-Fi Design Approach
Los Angeles-based Boingo Wireless said this morning that it has launched a new approach to deploying public, Wi-Fi access, which it calls S.M.A.R.T. Networks. According to Boingo, its new network design effort splits public Wi-Fi into various tiers of access, ranging from free, advertising and sponsorship supported Wi-Fi, up to 20MB enterprise Wi-Fi service. Ignyta Names CSO
San Diego-based biotechnology developer Ignyta said this morning that it has named Robert Wild, Ph.D., as the company's new Chief Scientific Officer and Senior Vice President, Research. Wild was most recently Chief Scientific Officer, Oncology Research, Drug Discovery at Eli Lilly & Company, and also has served at OSI Pharmaceuticals and Bristol-Myers Squibb. Ignyta is focused on cancer treatments.
